Principle •  Ammonium carbonate solution reacts with

CO2 of cooled flue gas to form ammonium bicarbonate

•  Raising the temperature reverses this reaction, pressurized CO2 is released, the solution is recycled

•  Fossil Plants will still remain for several decades

• Reducing CO2 emissions from these plants is an absolute need to limit global warming to 2 °C (the current path leads to 6°C !)
