This trip takes you to the Sunshine Coast, Jer-vis Inlet and eventually to Princess Louisa Inlet and Chatterbox Falls, which has been called the “world’s most beautiful anchorage.” Along the way, see the wild waters of Skookumchuck Narrows, amazing scenery and wildlife, and more waterfalls than you’ll be able to count.

This trip can be booked either as a self-drive trip or chauffeured by one of our driver/guides with a minimum of two clients. Either way, the price includes the vehicle, which will be an economy rental car or (if chauffeured and warranted) one of our minibuses.

Itinerary Overview Day 1: Meet your West Adventures consultant and any fellow adventurers at the joining hotel in Vancouver.

Day 2: Cross Howe Sound by BC Ferry, to BC’s Sunshine Coast. Enjoy the great ocean views as you travel leisurely up the coast. At Egmont, you’ll want to hike or take a boat trip to Skookumchuck Narrows, where the incoming and outgoing tides create North America’s fastest tidal

current.

Day 3: Enjoy a full day boat trip up Jervis Inlet, to Prin-cess Louisa Inlet and Chatterbox Falls. Along the way see the incredible coastal wildlife: sea life, shore ani-mals and overhead birds. After returning to your starting point, you’ll retrace your journey down the Sunshine coast to tonight’s stay in Gibsons.

Day 4: Cross back by ferry to the British Co-lumbia main-land and ar-rive back in Vancouver by about noon on Tuesday.

Short trips are designed to be added onto the end of any of your larger trips with West Adven-tures; thus this trip begins on Saturdays. But it can also stand on its own as a short trip.

This package is a self drive option including; car rental, directions, activity suggestions, accommodations, and more. If you wish to make this an escorted tour with a guide who does the driving and commentary, there is an additional supplement.

Add-on 2: Single Supplement:

Our trip prices are based on two people sharing rooms and tents. Single travellers will be paired up with others of the same gender for room assignments. Subject to availability, travellers may upgrade to single rooms by adding a single supplement to their tour.

Day 5: ATM Caves – this is it! The #1 activity to do in Belize. Cross rivers, swim through caverns and see ex-actly what lies in a Mayan sacrificial chamber.

Day 6: A free day today, to enjoy the area of San Igna-cio, and several more adventures. Return to the hotel in time for a late afternoon departure to Flores, GT.

Day 7: We start with a sunrise tour of the major Ma-yan site of Tikal, then continue on to Rio Dulce, but not before taking a short detour to Finca Paraiso to relax in a beautiful hot waterfall.

Day 8: After visiting the Castillo de San Felipe for pho-tos of the fort and Lake Izabal, we travel down the Rio Dulce River, through its canyon, to Livingston on the Caribbean Sea. We return to our island accommoda-tions for the night.

Day 9: An early morning departure in our private bus takes us through a variety of landscapes to Lake Atitlan.

Day 10: A tour of Lake Atitlan tak-ing in Santa Catarina, Santiago, San Juan and Jaibal-ito.

Day 11: A morning departure takes us for a two-hour drive to Antigua. We spend a few hours in Antigua, in-cluding an orientation by your tour leader before de-parting for our hike up still-warm Volcano Pacaya.

Day 12: The tour ends for those finishing in Antigua, or a free day to explore this UNESCO world heritage site for those continuing on to San Jose, Costa Rica.
