Wedding favors: Caricature drawings by Erica Missey, clover honey with bee's for Brown, monogrammed wooden fans, monogrammed glasses, and donations in honor of our guests: sponsoring 3 dogs from the P.A.A.C. and a donation to Open Arms Adoption and Foster Agency, for our guests and for two VERY special girls in our lives.

Bridal party gifts: Bridesmaids: personalized cups and dress hangers, monogrammed clover and pearl necklaces and earrings, champagne for the adult girls and Tif-fany blue watches for the younger girls. A special spa day was also given to the Maid of Honor. The flower girl was given a piggy bank and a special imprinted handkerchief. The ring bearer was given a custom shirt, piggy bank, and Legos. Groomsmen and ushers were given personalized bottles of Gentlemen's Jack and St. Patrick's Day socks. One younger groomsman received a piggy bank, watch, and wallet. Samantha crocheted a Tiffany blue, white, and brown blanket for Marcus's mother, and Marcus gave Samantha's mother a pair of Given-chy earrings matching Samantha's.

Favorite detail: Bride: St. Patrick's Day-theme: bagpipes during the ceremony, Celtic knot wed-ding cake, clover lollipops and Tiffany blue candy, and the surprise popcorn bar with napkins that said ""Marcus popped the question," hand-carved, clover-shaped guestbook, hand-cut crystal champagne glasses from Ireland, and surprising my mom during the ceremony by having her seated to the music of an Irish lullaby that she always sang to me as a baby. I also loved wearing my going away dress. It was a short, custom, Alfred Angelo wedding gown

that was lined in a Tiffany blue petticoat that peaked out every time Mar-cus twirled me on the dance floor. Groom: Samantha car-ried a sixpence I received from my grandfather when I was

little. My grandfather is gone and Samantha never had a chance to meet him but I feel like he was with us on our day. The musicians for our ceremony: a violinist, organist, and a bagpiper who walked down the aisle be-fore the bridesmaids, which made for quite the entrance! During the ceremony we enjoyed a special gift from our friends: Matt, who is a singer and pianist and Tim, who plays flute, together performed "The Prayer." For our reception, it would have to be the hosted St. Patrick's Day-inspired green beer!

Favorite moment: Bride: Seeing Marcus have happy tears all over again when he saw me walking down the aisle with my dad. Getting my clover Tif-fany and Co. necklace from Marcus, which my mom pinned to my dress right before I walked down the aisle. Groom: It was re-ally special to me that my groomsmen and ushers came in from all over the world, the Chad Johnson Band drove in from all over the state, and most of all seeing my Saman-tha walk down the aisle with her dad. I was so proud and excited to be standing there

that I could hardly contain myself! I smiled so much that day that my cheeks

began to hurt, but I still could not stop smiling!

Biggest challenge: Bride: Finding the energy to di-

vide our time up between working out of town

during the week and coming home on the weekends to do our wedding planning. Groom: Paying for it all! My

wife discovering Pinterest.

Funniest moment: Bride: Arriving at the church

early and setting off the alarm system, my

dad fixing the bagpipers kilt right before we walked down the aisle, and football launch-ing my bouquet past the girls during the bouquet toss. Groom: During the ceremony, when the pastor asked me for the rings, I turned around, and my best man is stand-ing there with a pair of hand cuffs sitting on top of the ring bearer pillow, stacked like two rings with our actual rings in the middle! It gave us all a good laugh and the pas-tor even had to step aside to get a drink of water to compose himself. No one saw what was happening, but I'm sure everyone was wondering why we were all trying to stifle our laughs. The best thing was that my brother managed to catch it all on video.

Advice for future brides or grooms: Bride: Have a long engagement to give yourself plenty of time to save money. Also, we attended the Love and Respect Conference at First Presbyterian Church and learned everything from how to "fight healthy" to how to raise our future kids in a God-driven home. Groom: To be creative with making your wedding yours. Don't ac-cept no for an answer. It’s the small touches and personal details that get remembered. The reception is a celebration and no one likes a formal, stuffy celebration. Make it fun and exiting! Also make time at least once a week to have a date night.

Why you got married: Bride: Because we love each other and to see the next chapter that God has planned for us. Marriage means being a team and helping each other to be the best they can be. Try to always listen to one another. It is all about family, faith, love, and commitment. Groom: Being there for each other, not just for the "better" but for the "worse" too.

How to make your spouse happy: Bride: Keeping God in our lives, and doing not only things he likes to do but things I like to do too. Happy wife happy life! Groom: My answer will always be "Yes, dear."

What you look forward to the most: Bride: Starting our family one day and in-troducing Marcus as my husband. Groom: No more wedding appointments!! Having someone to enjoy the future with and taking our honeymoon trip to Ireland!

Other information for couples: Bride and grooom: Always find the good in the bad and take a few moments out of every day to pray together.
