Announcements
• Making an announcement is an important way to get the word out about your event.
• Tips for making effective announcements:– Mention: Who, What, When, Where (Why or
How, if important)– Keep your message brief– Try something “catchy” like background
music, a catch phrase, or character voice.
• Practice before you take the mic!
Example- Halloween Party
• There will be a Halloween costume party in the cafetorium in Halloween night from 7-10. Cost is $3.00. Please see the Leadership 12 class for details.
• You might be too old to trick or treat, but that doesn’t mean you need to stay home on Halloween! Leadership 12 is hosting a Halloween Party on October 31st. So don’t forget to put on your costume and head to the cafetorium from 7-10 for food, games, and music. There will be lots of prizes and the cost is a mere treat- only $3.00 with a for a howling good time!
