With numerous construction areas along the Redruth Strategic Employment Growth Package, the Traffic

Management required by the construction team needs to be flexible and changed on numerous

occasions. This is to ensure that the safety of the roadworkers and road users are not compromised

by the need to keep traffic flowing along the roads included in the improvements.

Traffic Management

Traffic management that will be deployed includes the following:

· Use of temporary traffic lights during night working

· During day shifts, the carriageway lanes will be narrowed using cones, to

create adequate space for the workers to construct the scheme safely

· Temporary 30mph speed limit for the duration of works along the entire length

of the Tolgus works

· Installing temporary pedestrian crossings and pedestrian walkways to ensure

that all pedestrian movements can be maintained through the sites, some

routes may be longer than expected but will be essential for safe passage

· For night time working, the use of lane closures will be used due to the

reduced traffic volumes
