may vary greatly among the widely available niches. However, this new technology certainly has the capacity to be used in an educational setting. The multimedia episodes are step upfrom radio broadcasts and are increasingly easier to access through mobile devices. Twitter, Facebook & Social MediaSocial media has allowed society to communicate

without physical and distance boundaries, as well as share information and news worldwide. Recently these social media sites like Twitter and Facebook have found themselves inside contemporary classrooms to enhance the learning experience for students. The cost of these websites is free, and relatively easy to operate. Many teachers have even opted to implement the use of tools like twitter in college classes in order to increase interaction and participation. However,some schools and teachers remain skeptical about thedamaging effects, cyber bullying, and difficulty to monitor. These can be further explored by clicking the picture. Even though this new social media in the classroom be a powerful tool in todays classroom it is lacking certain attributes that would consolidate its impact.

BlackboardBlackboard is a tool that allows faculty to add resources for students to access online. PowerPoint, Captivate, video, audio, animation, and other applications are created outside of Blackboard and added into Blackboard courses for students to enhance teaching and learning efforts. As of December 2013, Blackboard's Learning Management System had over 20,000 organizations signed up with more than 20 million users.

The internet was introduced in 1982 and has been positively making an impact on our society. It can be accessed almost anywhere through the use of cellular devices or tablets/laptops etc.

Many college students rely on the internet for completing assignments and studying. Not to mention, it has been one of America’s main recourse for social networking and entertainment, which is very well managed and used on an every day basis.

With “New Literacies” the internet is a large source of where students are able to find information. It has become easier for students to research topics and get more information in a shorter amount of time.
