RECEIVINGThe AUMUND Group offers various solutions for material intake. SAMSON Eco Hoppers are well known in ports and terminals all over the world, receiving material from ships for onward transportation. Samson® Material Feeders are ideal for receiving material mainly from tipping trucks. AUMUND Trailer Docking Stations are also available, to receive material from self-unloading trailers.

Use of any of these intake units eliminates the need for expensive and permanent deep pits and associated civil

works, giving substantial cost savings. Knowing that the equipment can easily be relocated or used for other purposes simplifies investment decisions.

For many new alternative fuels projects, permission is required from local government, and often flue gas emissions must be monitored over an extended period before a permanent licence is granted. The AUMUND receiving units offer investment flexibility for these trial periods.

Samson® Material Feeder• Ideal solution for intake of dry and dusty materials• Intake in a controlled stream minimises dust

generation• No need for pits, therefore reduced capital investment • Available in open or closed design• Optionally inline or perpendicular to the unloading

trailer

STORAGE / CONVEYINGIn many cases the received material is stored in intermediate bunkers or buffer silos in order to make the process line independent from the logistics chain.

Here, AUMUND offers Moving Floors and Rotary Screw Discharge Systems for the application inside bunkers and silos.

Moving Floor Conveyor type SBA• Simple solid device for unloading cohesive and

adhesive loose materials such as- Wood chips- Sawdust- Wood bark- Rubber waste- Sludge- Mixtures of coal dust and tar- Residues from the paper industry

• Dump rates from 40 to 300 m3/h or 800 t/h• Ladders to be selected in different dimensions

depending on the bulk material• Ladders slide on steel rails set in concrete

Rotating Screw Discharger type RAS• First in, first out concept• Capacity up to 450 m³/h• Silo diameters up to 25 m• Material temperatures up to 200°C• Frequency controlled drive units• Can be designed in ATEX 21 or 22

Trailer Docking Station type TES• Ideal solution for intake from self-unloading trailers• Width up to 3 m• Simultaneous unloading of two trucks possible • Capacity up to 200 m³/h• No deep pit necessary• Dock seals eliminate dust emission during unloading• Hydraulic aggregate for operation of trailers

without engine• Screw bottom can be inline or perpendicular to

the unloading trailer AUMUND Trailer Docking Station with Screw Bottom

DISCHARGE / CONVEYINGAll conveyors are designed to suit the properties of the different bulk materials, the operating hours of the plant and the site conditions. For conveying, distributing and reclaiming, special focus is placed on design features to avoid unnecessary spillage or damage to the material.

In designing the configuration, AUMUND places emphasis on the versatility of each conveyor. With capabilities to reclaim material from a variety of silos or hoppers, to discharge at various points and to transport different materials on one conveyor, the overall number of conveyors required in the layout can be reduced.

Pendulum Bucket Elevator type BWP• Ideal for conveying one or more materials at the

same time to multiple discharge points• For materials like fluff, RDF, tyre chips,

wood pellets, etc.• Special buckets for sticky material• Capacity up to 500 m³/h

Telescopic Loading Spout type TS• Dust-free loading into trucks, barges or ships• Loading capacity up to 1,000 t/h• Lift up to 7.5 m

The AUMUND Group also offers a wide range of machinery for receiving bulk materials by train and ship, and dispatching to railway wagons or vessels. Focus is

on environmentally friendly, cost-effective, reliable and flexible operation.

SAMSON Mobile Shiploader• High handling rates on multi-material cargoes with

complete flexibility, allowing operation on an existing berth with minimum overall investment.

• Comprehensive dust control facilities, including the cascade dust-free loading chute, are available to minimise environmental pollution.

SCHADE Bridge Reclaimer• Wide range of reclaimers depending on customer

requirements• Blending function• No damage to the material conveyed• Suitable for bulk materials with abrasive properties

or high moisture content, even when frozen or compacted
