!!!!!!aptain!Rob,!along!with!the!team!from!Low!Range!Off5Road,!arrived!in!scenic!down!town!Goldendale!just!in!time!for!the!car!show!and!parade!pre5party.!All!the!competitors!gathered!at!the!local!Car!Quest!Parts!Store!for!“tech”!where!the!locals!could!come!get!an!up!close!look!at!all!the!rock!crawlers.!This!was!followed!by!a!parade!around!town.!We!ended!up!on!Main!Street,!where!the!road!was!blocked!off!and!an!old!car!was!waiting!for!us!to!drive!over.!It!appeared!as!though!most!people!were!intimidated!by!the!car!and!didn’t!want!to!hurt!their!tires,!but!with!the!

Maxxis!Trepadors!Captain!Rob!drove!over!the!car!several!times!with!no!issues!or!worries!and!left!the!rock!crawler!on!display!all!night!parked!on!top!of!it.!

!!!!!The!next!morning!we!woke!up!early!and!got!to!the!event.!Rob!and!Nick!looked!over!all!the!courses!and!decided!that!the!“mod!stock”!courses!just!weren’t!for!them.!They!wanted!more!of!a!challenge!and!they!wanted!to!put!on!a!show!for!the!fans,!so!they!opted!to!move!up!and!do!the!harder!“pro!mod”!courses.!The!first!couple!of!courses!were!undeniably!a!challenge;!however!they!opted!for!a!

bonus!line!on!the!second!course!which!gave!them!a!backwards!rollover!putting!them!rubber!side!up.!The!rest!of!the!days!courses!were!tight!and!technical,!but!they!brought!their!A!game!and!made!them!look!easy.

!!!!!!!!On!day!two!the!courses!looked!significantly!harder.!As!we!watched!car!after!car!roll!on!the!first!course,!the!nervousness!set!in.!!As!their!turn!approached,!the!crowd!was!anticipating!their!demise.!With!confidence!Nick!and!Rob!pulled!in!with!a!good!line!and!dropped!

down!the!first!hard!ledge!on!all!fours.!With!the!crowd!now!cheering,!they!spun!around,!climbed!up!the!next!obstacle!and!aimed!for!the!drop!that!had!claimed!the!crawlers!before!them.!With!some!careful!spotting!from!Nick!Schaefer,!the!truck!dropped!down!with!ease.!With!time!running!out,!Captain!Rob!shifted!into!high!gear!to!get!through!the!next!two!gates,!clearing!one!of!them!on!two!wheels,!with!seconds!left!to!finish,!he!wheelied!up!the!last!climb.!The!engine!was!roaring!

and!the!crowd!was!on!their!feet.!!The!Trail!Gear!parts!held!strong!once!again!as!they!finished!the!course.!

!!!!!!!!!!The!next!course!went!smooth.!!!Nick!and!Rob!finished!with!four!minutes!left!so!in!true!Captain!Rob!fashion,!they!had!a!dance!party!on!top!of!the!truck.!The!Low!Range!crew!was!clearly!having!the!most!fun,!which!contagiously!spread!!throughout!all!the!spectators.

The!next!course!was!full!of!silt!and!made !for!a!complete!dust!bowl.!Many!competitors!

were!unable!to!find!traction,!describing!it!as!being!like!driving!in!snow.!Once!again!the!Maxxis!Trepadors!proved!unstoppable!as!they!dug!deep,!and!pulled!through!without!any!problems.!

The!last!course!of!the!event!definitely!had!a!gnarly!bonus!line!to!it.!It!was!a!657!foot!cliff!drop!at!the!end!of!the!course.!!After!much!debate!Rob!and!Nick!decided!to!do!it.!!The!first!few!gates!went!well!with!minimal!hang!ups.!

They!pulled!up!on!top!of!the!drop!and!it!was!huge!!Once!again!the!crowd!gathered!

!!!!!!!With!some!careful!spotting!and!the!right!amount!of!luck,!they!came!down!smoother!than!anyone!else!and!ended!up!with!their!best!score!of!the!day.

!!!!!!!Captain!Rob!Racing!ended!up!in!6th!place!for!the!weekend.!!The!sportsmanship!of!the!team!

Q: How long have you been working here? 11 months

Q: What is the best thing you like about working here? The Family atmosphere, you got to love it!

Q: Where are you originally from? Provo, Utah

Q: What's your background? I Graduated from Provo High. Worked as a care giver for 4 years, and then as a vendor for Lowe's before coming here.

Q: Any favorite sports teams? Don’t really have any.

Q: What vehicles do you own? Mazda 5 I call it my mini, mini van.

Q: What is your family like? They are a little crazy and goofy but I wouldn’t be where I am right now without them, they are the best!

Q: What are your hobbies? I love being outdoors, so hiking, fishing, camping. I also have a lot of pets to care for and I consider that a hobby as well. My Favorite pet I own is a Kenyan Sand Boa.

Q: When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? A zoologist, or something to do with animals. I also wanted to travel.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant? Ahh, food is my favorite topic. I really cant pick one, but if I had to, it would be Olive Garden.

Project: Toyota Space LabOwner: Low Range Off-Road

ur Spacelab is back in the shop and progressing nicely. Components currently under way are front driveline, transmission cross member, fuel tank   and fuel tank skid plate and the front bumper. We are also adding an air system for shifting the T-case and running air tools when needed on the trail. Also, our TIG welder Zach   has started the fully custom exhaust.

The bodywork is progressing nicely under the skilled hands of one of our newest employees, Nicolette. She has fixed most of the dings and dents and has prepped the rest of it, ready for paint.

Most importantly we were able to hear the old girl run again and she is sounding better than ever. We are hoping to have “Space Lab” trail-ready in the near future.

R igid Industries has become a household name for a reason.  When you think of led light bars, what name first comes to mind? Isn't it Rigid?

Starting in a garage, owner and CEO Jason Christiansen started brainstorming... Would a square or rectangular light sell?  An ice cream square seems weird. We are familiar only with ice cream cones right?
