Nippon Remington Univac Kaisha, Ltd. founded.（later Nippon Univac）Introduced "B5000", the world's first computer to combine hardware/

software in its design.

First successful attempt at online real-time processing in Japan.

Launched Japan's first online banking process.

Nippon Univac Kaisha, Ltd. was listed on the first section of the Tokyo

Stock Exchange.

Put into operation the world's largest Worldwide Interbank Financial

Telecommunication system, "SWIFT".
