In April 2010 the Ministry of Labour of Ontario issued Alert #26 (http://www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/hs/pdf/a26.pdf) , which warned of a potential hazard for all Fixed Rail Lifelines (FRL) covered under CSA Z259.2.1-98. Upon being notified of the Alert #26 Trylon suspended all Trolley sales. CSA then issued a similar Alert on May 25th (http://www.csa-international.org/product_recalls/search/default.asp?articleID=9611). Following the alert, CSA notified Trylon and other FRL system manufacturers that new testing parameters would be added to the current code via a Technical Information Letter (TIL). On November 10th CSA released Occupational Health and Safety Product Notice #61 which included the detailed testing parameters for TIL S-02 (Fall-Back). Trylon TSF has developed the NEW Cougar MAX Trolley. The Cougar MAX has been tested by CSA International and passed the testing requirements outlined in CSA Z259.2.1-98 as well as the new TIL S-02 (Fall-Back) test. Please note that Trylon TSF’s previous Cougar trolley does not conform to the testing outlined in TIL S-02 (Fall-Back) and thus must be replaced with the new Cougar MAX trolley in order to be in full CSA compliance. For ease of identification the Cougar MAX trolley is gold while the Cougar trolley was silver in colour (pictured below).
