PARTNERSHIP Empowerment through Collaborations We work closely with partners from the local to international levels including:

Grassroots networks to educate communities about trafficking

Families, teachers, and communities to

keep at-risk youth safe from traffickers and from dropping out of school

Domestic and international corporations

to protect their workers and supply chains from trafficking through awareness campaigns and workshops

Local and national governments to

ensure trafficking survivors’ safe return and successful reintegration

Local and international NGOs to

provide referrals, vocational training, and other reintegration services

Our Counter-Trafficking Initiatives

PREVENTION Empowerment through Education and Knowledge Academic Scholarships Education protects girls living in trafficking hotspots by enabling safe and improved economic opportunities. Our scholarships cover tuition, fees, health insurance, uniforms, books, school supplies, bicycles and tutoring through high school. We also work with their families and communities to strengthen support through home visits, family days, and summer camps. Factory Awareness to Counter Trafficking (FACT) Human trafficking poses great potential risk in many global industries’ supply chain, including apparel, agriculture, etc. FACT raises awareness about trafficking among workers, managers and factory owners. We work with employers to create good practice in labor recruiting and retention to reduce trafficking risks in the supply chain.

PROTECTION Empowerment through Self-Reliance Trafficking survivors risked their lives to regain their freedom. Comprehensive reintegration services bring real chance at a new life and reduce re-trafficking risks. Returnee Initial Support Essentials (RISE) We enhance first line of response to trafficking survivors at the border upon their return to Vietnam by providing RISE care packages of clothing, personal hygiene items, travel costs to get home and referrals to local support services. Reintegration Shelters We operate reintegration shelters providing safe housing, emotional support, vocational training/academic schooling, health care, life skills, job placement, legal assistance and family support. We empower survivors with safety, self-confidence, and skills to become self-reliant.

The Issue Human trafficking is a growing $32

billion a year business, enslaving over 20 million women, children and men in

forced sexual and forced labor exploitation (ILO 2005, 2012).

The chance of becoming enslaved in developed countries is 1.5 per 1,000

inhabitants and more than twice as much in the Asia Pacific region.

Vietnam is one of the top source country

for cross-border trafficking victims. Internal trafficking is steadily increasing.

Our Goal

To prevent the trafficking of youth Our Approach

We break the cycle of human trafficking by investing comprehensively in at-risk

youth to prevent trafficking before it starts and in survivors to build a new life.
