This would not have been possible without the diligent work of city officials, emergency response personnel, community leaders and Hampton residents. There are also over 800 volunteers rearranging their schedules to accommodate the new date, allowing the race to go on, and provide an unforgettable race weekend in the city of Hampton. “We are so excited to still have this opportunity for our participants to see beautiful Hampton. We are extremely grateful for all of the hard work that the city of Hampton has put forth during this adverse situation, and we appreciate the patience and understanding of our participants as we sat out the storm,” said race director, Jerry Frostick.
