PRINCIPALS MESSAGE
On behalf of the staff at Carihi, I would like to congratulate this years graduating class on the achievements and accomplishments we have shared with you over the past three years at our school. We hope that you look back on your time at Carihi
with fond memories of the experiences that have helped shape your paths, and continue to be the strong well-rounded individuals that have defined you as a group of students. We would like to thank you for the contributions you have made to our school community and to our community of Campbell River. It has been inspiring to be part of what you have accomplished in the areas of academics, fine arts, athletics, and citizenship. We have shared your successes in the classroom, your wins on the court and the field, your creativity on the stage, and your joy and enthusiasm for making our school an accepting and welcoming place. We are confident that this success will follow you into your future endeavours, and whether your future learning takes place at a post-secondary institution, on a job-site, within clubs and organizations that you will join, through sports and fine arts activities, or through families, friends, and elders, we also know that you are open to the fact that your learning has just begun. As you leave behind the structure and environment that thirteen years of formal schooling has provided, you will undoubtedly begin to chart your own course. We hope that you continue to seek your passions and pursue them and look forward to hearing about your future accomplishments.Congratulations and best wishes for the future.

Valedictorian
W hen I was chosen to be valedictorian, my first thoughts were, this is pretty cool I guess. After thinking about it for a while I realized that
its actually a pretty big deal. So I was like, Alright Russell, lets do a good job with this thing.
I am going to be representing a large and diverse grad class, and I am up for the task. If there are two things Im good at, its representing diverse grad classes and delivering memorable speeches. So this has really all fallen into place.
In all seriousness, this is very important to me and I consider it a great honour. Im very thankful to have been chosen to be the voice of the class, and I promise everybody that I will live up to expectations.
