Right click on your image file and click "Open with Affinity Photo"

Copy the Image into Your Coloring Book PageCopy the Image into Your Coloring Book Page

From the top menu click "Select" -> "Select All".

Then click "copy"

Switch back to your main coloring book page and click "paste"

Drag and move your image to keep it inside your main margins.

Ciick on the checkerboard icon below your layer list to create a new layer.

Outline your First ShapeOutline your First Shape

1. Select your new layer. It will be highlighted.

2. Select the draw tool.

3. Resize the line to your desired thickness. For this image, I'm using 2 pixels.

4. Select your color. I want to draw in black.

5. Outline your first shape. Here I outlined the central building.

Duplicate Your Outline LayerDuplicate Your Outline Layer

Right click on the layer and choose "duplicate."

Fill in the Shape in BlackFill in the Shape in Black

1. Select the LOWER of the duplicate layers. This is the layer in the background.

2. Select the paint bucket tool.

3. Push the color button so that the bucket will pour black.

4. Fill in your shape.

Drag the layer with the mandala on top of the layer you filled in with the paint can earlier. Notice howthe layer is slightly to the right of the other layers - this means it's now a sublayer of the layer above it.

As you move the mandala around, it's now ONLY inside the building shape. You can move and tweakuntil you are happy with the look.

The black outline around the shape is from the duplicate layer we preserved earlier.

Uncheck the background layer to make it disappear.
