Pre-Requisites:
Before running through this tutorial make sure you have complete the following tasks:
1. Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.3 installed2. Linux box prepared for Database installation. See here for details instructions3. Java SDK 6 update 8 installed4. Oracle Database 11g R2 software is installed.Installation instructions and options:

1 Open X-Windows session to the server as oracle user2 #cd /u01/app/oracle3 #dbcaThe Database configuration assistant will now start. You willuse the dbca to create a database. For this excercise we will create a database namedGDB which will be used as a repository for Oracle Enterprise Manager GridControl

SelectUse the sameAdministrative Password for All Accounts. Then enter the password youwant to sysand system user. Click Next
Database FileLocations
Enterdatabase file location as/u01/app/oracle/oradata then click Next
