Install Oracle Enterprise LinuxPrepare Linux for Oracle 11gR2 installation.Install Java SDK 6 update 18Install Oracle 11gR2 database softwareCreate Oracle 11gR2 databaseConfigure Oracle Net for Oracle 11gR2 databaseInstall Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.2)Install Oracle Enterprise Manger 11g Grid Control

Hardware/Software:DELL Intel Core 2 Duo CPURAM: 2GBHard Disk: 147GBOS: Oracle enterprise Linux 5.3.Oracle validated rpms

Pre-Requisites:

Before running through this tutorial make sure you have complete the following tasks:

Step/ScreenName Action

1 Open X-Windows session to the server as oracle user2 #cd /u01/app/oracle3 #dbcaThe Database configuration assistant will now start. You willuse the dbca to create a database. For this excercise we will create a database namedGDB which will be used as a repository for Oracle Enterprise Manager GridControl

Entergdb or any otherdatabase name you want. Then click Next

Uncheck Configure EnterpriseManagerClick Next

SelectUse the sameAdministrative Password for All Accounts. Then enter the password youwant to sysand system user. Click Next

Database FileLocations

Enterdatabase file location as/u01/app/oracle/oradata then click Next
