Creating Mindful Business Communities
This presentation will begin with a mindful exercise followed by a discussion on the potential personal, organizational and community-wide benefits of cultivating well-being. Initial studies exploring the area of mindfulness in workplaces hypothesize that productivity, focus and attention increase, while unproductive multitasking and stress decrease. Two large local businesses have been evaluated regarding their experience and approach to employee well-being. Caitlin will share her interdisciplinary approach, evaluation measures and insights gleaned from initial results. Caitlin welcomes dialogue around the workplace as a community, creating mindful communities and any feedback regarding this well-being project.
