INTEGRATED APPAREL MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME (IAMP)
Integrated Apparel Management Programme ( IAMP) is a
comprehensive programme conducted by NATIONAL SKILL
INDIA MISSION in collaboration with Isha Learning that
prepares students for management trainee/ supervisory
level positions in the apparel and related soft goods
industries. It trains the student in all major functional areas
in a modern apparel/ fashion enterprise like manufacturing,
merchandising and product development.
Selection will be done based on interview and merit
IAMP will enable the candidate to assess their strengths and weakness and
train them to be “work place ready”
IAMP does this by partnering with corporates, Accordingly understand their
skill requirements and avail the workforce from educational institutions.

WHY IAMP
Most economies are expected to have serious talent shortage in the near future.
IAMP will enable the corporate to create people supply chains in advance. IAMP

India leads in the production of raw materials like cotton, jute, silk and
wool to providing high value added products such as fabric and gar‐
ments.
India is the leading producer of Natural fibers like cotton, jute , silk
and wool but also man made fibres like polyester , viscose, acrylic and
multiple blends of such fibres.
In terms of cost, India has an advantage over other countries.
This inherent strength in availability of raw materials prevents any
supply ‐ side shocks

Responsible for the smooth running of produc�on flow systems
Ensure that correct quality and quan�ty of raw materials are supplied on �me.
Convert sketches into an accurate pa�ern from which the garment may be cut.
Convert standard size pa�erns into a range of different sizes
Work out the most economical placement of pa�ern on fabric and mark them
for cu�ng.
Cut the fabric according to the pa�ern.
S�tch up the garment.
Tidy up and complete the garment.
Add trims an iron out garments and make them ready for stores.

IAMP Ongoing Assessment
IAMP ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The students will be evaluated on the basis of the following :
1. Assignments
2. Apparel/Textile Industry visits.
3. Quiz
4. Unit Test: ‐ On completion of each Unit a test will be conducted to assess the students
understanding on the Unit.
5. Presentation/Seminar
6. Minor Exam: On completion of each subject, a test is conducted to assess students learning.
7. Major Exam: ‐ On completion of the entire course, an examination is conducted to assess
students learning.
8. Internship: ‐ Students undergo 3 months internship in an apparel manufacturing unit. Each
student will be allotted a project and they need to write and submit a thesis on the same

Apparel Industry is among the largest industries in the world. The global apparel
industry shipped merchandise worth more than US$ 1.85 billion during 2016
Apparel industry is also among the most global of industries. Quite often, apparel is
designed in one country, manufactured in another and sold in yet another.
Apparel is manufactured in virtually every country.
