Product overview

CTNx.xx.xxx current instrument transformers are casted in

epoxy resin under vacuum and designed for indoor use.

They are used for measuring and protection in medium

voltage equipments, with insulation level of 7,2; 12 or 24

kV.

The transformers are designed with the possibility to be

reconnectible on the primary side.

The number of secondary windings can be 1, 2 or 3,

depending on: accuracy class, rated output and the rated

short-time thermal current.

One terminal of each secondary winding used must be

earthed during the transformer operation, using a M5 screw

on the transformer base plate.

Not used secondary windings have to be short-circuited.

Connections to the secondary terminals will be made into a

terminal box, provided with a sealable transparent cover

and with cable glands.

The transformers are support-type and can operate in any

position.

The transformers mounting is achieved by the fixing base

plate, using four M10 or M12 screws.

Connection to the earth will be made with a M8 screw fixed

on the transformer base plate.

CTNx.xx.xxx instrument transformers will be delivered with

all required screws to connect it in the circuit.

Technical data

Rated current in primary windings can have the value:

10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400,

500, 600, 800, 1000 A. On request we can provide another

value for primary currents.

Primary reconnectable transformers can be made up to

2 x 300 A.

Rated current in secondary windings can be 1 A or 5 A, or

another values on request.

Accuracy class of measuring windings can be:

0,2S; 0,2; 0,5S; 0,5 or 1 for a value between 25 … 100%

from the rated output and for rated primary current between

(1) 5 ... 120%.

Instrument security factor: FS5 or FS10.

Accuracy class of protection windings can be: 5P or

10P at rated output.

Accuracy limit factor (ALF) can be: 5; 10; 15; 20 or with

another values on request.

It’s not recommended to connect in the transformer

secondary other burdens than those from the specified

range.

Rated frequency: 50 or 60 Hz.

Operating altitude: max. 1000 m.

Operating ambient temperature: - 25 … + 40ºC.

Storage temperature: - 40 … + 40ºC.

Force limits for screws tightening:

M 5 = 2,8 … 3,5 Nm

M 8 = 16 … 20 Nm

M12 = 40 … 50 Nm

Instrument transformers laboratory

Our metrological laboratory has the facilities and expertise to perform routine tests and check the results for voltage and current instrument transformers in accordance with the actual applicable standards, as following: Current instrument transformers for medium and low voltage, indoor and outdoor type ( according to: IEC 60044 - 1 & IEC 61869 – 2 ). - primary current up to 4000 A, secondary current 5 or 1 A, accuracy class: 0,2S; 0,2; 0,5S; 0,5 for one or more measurement intervals. Voltage instrument transformers for medium and low voltage, indoor and outdoor type (according to IEC 60044-2 & IEC 61869 – 3 ). - primary voltage up to 24 kV, secondary voltage: 100√3; 110√3; 100; 110 V, accuracy class: 0,2; 0,5 or 1 % for one or more measurement intervals. Each instrument transformer is subjected to all routine tests including partial discharge test, according to applicable standards and customer specifications on request. NECOM instrument transformers are type tested by approved laboratories for design validation and fault withstand capabilities. All these tests allow us to ensure the high quality of transformers. The laboratory is accredited by Romanian Bureau of Legal Metrology. All equipments and standards used, has beeen calibrated by accredited laboratories ( PTB, METAS, INM, EPRO ), thereby traceability of measurment results is ensured. The testing of instrument transformers service is also available to external companies.

Product overview

TSN2.xxx.xx.xx.xx transformers for auxiliary services are

casted in epoxy resin under vacuum and designed for

indoor use, to make the transition from medium voltage to

low voltage, as auxiliary power supply for many

consumers.

They are provided with only one secondary winding.

The primary winding is isolated from the earth.

At request, these type of transformers can be made in

monopolar version. In this case, B terminal of primary

winding becomes N and must be earthed.

Connections to the secondary terminals will be made with

two M10 screws.

The transformers are support-type and can operate in any

position, except TSN2.SBK.184.90.90.R type that must be

placed only vertically.

The transformers mounting is achieved by the fixing base

plate, using four M10 or M12 screws.

Connection to the earth will be made with a M8 screw

fixed on the transformer base plate.

Technical data

Rated voltage in primary winding can have the value 6, 10

or 20 kV. If is asking for monopolar version, the rated

primary voltage have the value: 6/√3, 10/√3 or 20/√3 kV.

On request we can provide another values for primary

voltage.

Rated voltage in secondary windings can be: 100 V, 220 V,

230 V or another values on request.

It is mandatory to use protective devices, both on the

primary and on the secondary syde of the transformer.

Operating altitude: max. 1000 m.

Operating ambient temperature: - 25 … + 40ºC.

Storage temperature: - 40 … + 40ºC.

Force limits for screws tightening:

- M 8 = 16 … 20 Nm

- M10 = 20 … 25 Nm
