Food around the worldHello, today I am going to talk about different cuisines from all around the world in different continental regions and places. I will present each continent's cuisine and maybe will talk a little more about our European cuisine. So let's start the journey!First we will travel to Asia. We have many different countries and different cuisines here. The most popular is food from Japan, China, Thailand and India. As everyone knows Japan is famous with its sushi. It's like a piece of rise rolled with sea cabbage and different sea food, including shrimps, eel or salmon. Sushi is also popular in Lithuania. Then we can travel to China. I guess everyone have been in Chineese restaurant. People in China love rice, different meats made with sweet and sour sauce, they eat it with chineese cabbage called bok choy,they love soups and also tea. Thailand and India's cuisines have a very hot taste. They love hot spices and sauces so make a note to yourself to be dangerous with their food and dishes.Here we travel to more exotic place - South America. This region is popular because of its tropical fruits. Here we can find mango or dragon fruit sauce on your crab meat or fish steak. They eat a lot of meat (lamb, beef) and even more fish and seafood. One of the most popular food in South America - espacially in Brasil is Moqueca. It's like a stew or soup, made from bell peppers, olive oil, coconut milk and eggs.Next step - Africa. Traditionally, the various cuisines of Africa use a combination of locally available fruits, cereal grains and vegetables, as well as milk and meat products. You can find many different dishes in Africa. Typical Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine has Injera (pancake-like bread) and several kinds of wat (stew). Or you can try couscous, that is very popular and it is made by steaming and served with vegetables or meat stew.Here we go even further - North America. This region cuisine is very close to everyone. We all know such a thing as steak or sweet pancakes or waffles. Mexican cuisine has buritos or tacos and we have similar thing in Lithuania.And here we come to our home - Europe! There are many countries here and I can talk hours after hours so I will just present 5 different countries in Europe and their cuisines. Central Europe - Germany. Everyone who comes here can't escape from trying German sausages called Bratwurst. Then Germany is popular because of its bretzel, like a little ring shaped roll or cookie which usually has some salt on the top of it. Then, german beer is one of the best, that is what everyone says. And also they have tasty dessert called Black Forest cake which is made from chocolate biscuit, cream and cherry.Eastern Europe - Ukraine. Borshch is a vegetable soup made out of beets, cabbage, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, dill. There are about 30 varieties of Ukrainian borscht. It may include meat or fish. Also they have chicken Kiev which is very popular in our country, as it has butter with some spices inside of it.North cuisine - UK. Fish and chips, a popular take-away food of the United Kingdom. Sunday roast, consisting of roast beef, roast potatoes and vegetables. Also England is very popular because of its afternoon tea. They just love tea and it's becoming a tradition to bring home some tea after visiting England. South Europe - Italy. Pasta is a tradition of italian cuisine. There are different types of making it, including different sauces and different seafoods. Also pizza, only place in the world where you can try homemade good pizza is Italy. Then they have a good taste in wine people say. And they have good desserts which make Italy popular, such as tiramisu cake or ice cream. I think I don't need to present it more because everyone knows it and that just says how popular Italian cuisine is.West Europe - France. France is popular with its high level restaurants and cookers. Especially it is popular with its desserts such as creme brulee, crepe (sweet pancakes) or macaroons. Also everyone knows french homemade long bread. And french fries also came from France and are very popular here. French cuisine has many different tastes and sides I guess it's impossible to try them all.So that's it.. our journey has come to the end, I hope you liked my presentation and thank you for your atention :)
