Students will participate in a variety of activities during the day including Henna Designs, Italian Cooking, Soapstone carving, Belgian Waffle making, Chinese Calligraphy, Aboriginal Dot Painting, and Pysanka (Ukrainian Egg Painting) to name a few! What an exciting way to start after Spring Break! Tuesday, April 4 - Grade 7 Thursday, April 6 – Grade 6 Friday, April 7 – Grade 8 MUSIC NEWS Our Jazz Band students recently attended the Brandon Jazz Festival. They also had the opportunity to see other middle and high school jazz bands perform, and had a clinic on their instruments with a professional player. To top it all off, they attended an amazing concert featuring Winnipeg’s own Dirty Catfish Brass Band, the Brandon University Jazz Band, and the Shuffle Demons. There was much dancing and singing! UPCOMING EVENTS: Grade 8 Edmonton Band trip (April 9 th -13 th ) Level One festival for grade 6 and 7 students. Grade 6’s will be performing on Wednesday, April 26 th at 9:00am, and grade 7’s will be performing on Thursday, April 27 th at 9:00am. Details to follow!

MUSIC NEWS Our Jazz Band students recently attended the Brandon Jazz Festival. Steeped Tea has now arrived and will be sent home with students this week! Watch for our next M&M fundraiser after Spring Break just in time for BBQ Season!

PAC SCHOOL WIDE FUNDRAISER SHOW & SAVE COUPON BOOKS $20

The Show and Save Fundraiser has now been sent home. All orders are due back to the school by Wednesday, April 12, 2017. All proceeds raised by this fundraiser will go directly towards resources for all students in the fabulous new Learning Commons! Information and forms are attached.

March 15, 2017 Dear Parents/Guardians, Chief Peguis Junior High Parent Advisory Council is once again selling the Spring Edition of the Show & Save Coupon Book for only $20. This edition includes great coupons for many local businesses and you can often earn your money back by using only 2-3 of the 450 coupons! We encourage families to try to sell at least 2-3 books. Please send all paid orders back to the school in the envelope provided, on or before Wednesday, April 12th, 2017. Cash is preferred; however orders paid by cheque may be held for up to 1 week until the cheque has cleared. Cheques are to be made payable to: Chief Peguis Junior High. Orders will be filled and sent home with your child once payment has been received and cleared. All proceeds raised by this fundraiser will go directly towards resources for all students in the school including our fabulous “Learning Commons” and popular new “Makerspace!” We would appreciate your support in our final fundraiser of the year!
