March 2012- Current

Jan 2002 – March 2012

For this period in my life my role as a Security Specialist has varied from working on the London circuit for the Saudi Arabian Royal family and various celebrities, (Jan 2002 - Ongoing) to progressing my skills to working on a SET (Security Escort Team) for firstly Armor Group (Jan 2004 – April 2005) in Iraq, followed by a year back in London .

To then working for AEGIS (Nov 2007- July 2009) in Iraq where I have been acting as Personal Protection Officer for a high ranking Colonel from the United States. To be held in such high regard by my clients and fellow operatives all over the world is an honour.

Based in Baghdad I would conduct daily missions in and around the city and other areas within Iraq both North and South, protecting our client directly related to the US government.

There are few, if any, better operatives on the circuit as my background and credentials back up, and I am ready to adjust my experience to whatever the situation may dictate wherever, whenever. My personal web site www. robertcurran.me which can elaborate more on my achievements and career so far.

After four years in Baghdad I decided to go have a change of scenery working for G4S /Armor Group in Kabul, Afghanistan (November 2009 – March 2010) as a TL (Team Leader) doing PSD (personal security detail ) on a contract related to the U.S Government and British Embassy which utilised low profile moves in two vehicles in and around Kabul. Jan 2011- March 2012 – I was involved in running teams for Drum Cussac going back to my Royal Marines roots, involved in Anti Piracy tasks on ships all over the Indian Ocean and the world .

Royal Marines Commando

June 95- Jan 02

During my seven years as a Royal Marines Commando, based at mainly 45 Commando RM and Commachio Group RM, I have been all over the world serving in hostile areas such as Northern Ireland, Kosovo, and Macedonia as well as training with other countries elite such as the Navy Seals /US Marines where I was privileged to be part of an exchange programme.

I

also spent six months aboard HMS Ocean and Sir Galahad conducting boarding parties and Anti smuggling operations. I class boarding operations as my roots.More recently I have focused on physical fitness, running and operating within Royal Marines sporting teams such as swimming, water polo and Boxing. I actually boxed for the Navy.

Whilst in Commando Training I was in the top four recruits to be awarded a Diamond, in contention for the Kings Badge for best recruit, a standard I kept throughout my career.I am also Jungle and Arctic trained, as well as being a Candidate for promotion.
