CURRENT GUIDELINES FOR CIVIL WEDDING CEREMONIES Following the government update released on the 29 th June 2020 we are pleased to announce that we are now able to host wedding ceremonies at the hotel up to a MAXIMUM of 30 people. It is strongly recommended that numbers are kept as low as possible to limit associated transmission risks but no more that 30 people will be able to attend. The 30 people can be made up of multiple households. For us to be able to offer this service safely we have set out some guidelines below which MUST be adhered to for the ceremony to be able to take place. There can be no deviation from these guidelines as they have been prepared to ensure that this service is COVID secure. Included in your numbers must be the two registrars, any photographers, any members of staff not employed by the venue but does not have to include any members of staff employed by Whitley Hall Hotel. One week before the wedding ceremony we would require a list from the B&G which separates how many people attending the ceremony are from different households and how many people are in each household so that we can ensure that the ceremony is set with correct social distancing. As guests arrive they will be seated in their designated seats for the ceremony and must remain in these seats throughout. No congregating of guests will be permitted before or after the ceremony. It is advised that the ceremonies and services should be concluded in the shortest reasonable time, and limited as far as reasonably possible to the parts of the marriage or civil partnership that are required in order to be legally binding under the law of England and Wales. No food or drink can be provided as any part of the ceremony. If the bride wishes to be ‘given away’ this will have to be done by either a member of their household (or support bubble). If this is not the case they will have to remain 2m apart at all times including walking down the aisle. During the ceremony there can be no singing and no music played at a loud volume which would mean guests would not be able to conversate at a normal level. Soft background music will be permitted. After the ceremony has finished the bride and groom will be taken to the outdoor terrace (weather permitting) or to the back of the ceremony room where guests (in household groups) can walk pass and wish the happy couple congratulations but this must be done from a safe social distance (2m). After guests have offered their congratulations they must leave the premises immediately. If you wish to book a table in the restaurant to extend your celebrations this can be done but only with a maximum of two households attending the meal, or 6 people from different households if eating outdoors. If we find these rules are breached you will be asked to vacate the premises immediately. Please note that this service is entirely dependant on registrars from Sheffield Registry Office to be in attendance to conduct the official ceremony. Please ensure that you have confirmed with them that they are able to attend our venue on your chosen date and time before making any further arrangements. You must inform us if any member of your party is showing symptoms of Coronavirus BEFORE attending the hotel.

For us to be able to offer this service safely we have set out some guidelines below which MUST be adhered to for the ceremony to be able to take place. There can be no deviation from these guidelines as they have been prepared to ensure that this service is COVID secure.

• Included in your numbers must be the two registrars, any photographers, any members of staff not employed by the venue but does not have to include any members of staff employed by Whitley Hall Hotel.

• One week before the wedding ceremony we would require a list from the B&G which separates how many people attending the ceremony are from different households and how many people are in each household so that we can ensure that the ceremony is set with correct social distancing.

• As guests arrive they will be seated in their designated seats for the ceremony and must remain in these seats throughout. No congregating of guests will be permitted before or after the ceremony.
