POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Staff - CARPENTER

REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Building and Grounds

CLOSING DATE: Until Filled

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs necessary maintenance and repairs on all the carpentry related items in the schools • Constructs bookshelves, cabinets, walls, etc. • Moves and installs chalkboards, bulletin boards, projection screens, etc • Replaces doors and hardward • Replaces small shingle roofs • Installs drop ceilings in classrooms • Installs vinly tiles and small areas of carpet • Assists with the establishment of Preventative maintenance schedules

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

• Ability to use tools, materials and equipment used in carpentry work. • Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, sketches, etc. • Ability to design and build small woodworking projects • Knowledge of building codes and specifications • Ability to perform work without supervision • Ability to measure and determine materials and parts for job • Must hold or be able to obtain CDL – Approved for School Bus Driving
