Job Description:

Carry out maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment and make sure maximum uptime in Gas and Oil Facilities

Responsibilities: • Maintenance of  low voltage electrical distribution panels, motor control centers, power transformers, circuit breakers  relay and protection panels, electrical motors, variable speed and soft starters, generators, compressors,  batteries and UPS system, cables  and other electrical equipment.• Obtain necessary permits for relevant work. • Ensures good housekeeping is maintained in & around workshops and job sites.• Maintains accurate and detailed records and report to supervisor.

Job Title: Electrical Engineer.

Job Description: Carries out day to day preventive, corrective and break down maintenance activities on electrical systems, plant and equipment in assigned field, covering gas engine generators & controls, L.V/ H.V equipments, motors control circuits, transformers, UPS, RMU, VFD & VSD, L.V cables , H.V&L.V overhead lines, electrical PCP and submersible pumps (ESP) and electrical protection systems.

Responsibilities:

Carries out planned (preventive/routine) and breakdown maintenance activities on electrical systems, plant and equipment in assigned field in accordance with set plans and standard procedures.

Receives work order from supervisor and review equipment maintenance history delivery from main stores. - Obtains required work permit(s) and liaises with operations to release device- Inspects equipment to determine extent of repairs required.

Prepare requisition for spare and material s and withdraws from local store or arrange delivery from main stores – obtains required work permit(s) and liaises with operation to release device – inspect equipment to determine extent of repairs required.

Participates in major overhaul and shutdown maintenance activities as assigned by Senior Support Engineers. Includes carrying out.

Carries out modification work on circuit and control wiring as per approved drawings and/or under close supervision. Produce schematics to enable updating and production of "as built" drawings

Participates in commissioning of projects and installation of new equipment. Includes checking and reviewing commissioning and maintenance spares and assisting engineers in preparing reviewing related SPIR’s

Recommends purchase of non stock/ direct purchase items. Includes full technical detail of material, code numbers, other buying descriptions, cost estimates and process to supervisor for endorsement and further action.

Inspects materials received to ensure conformance to required specifications and arranges witnesses testing/operational use of spares to verify compatibility with existing equipment, as instructed.
