ground while terraces extend the living area tooutside spaces with the garden beyond.The prolific use inside of Welsh oak and ashblends well with the rounded lime plastered wallsand an easy flow of rooms with arches andcurves. The interior is light and airy withindividually shaped windows framing vistas andremarkable views.Dafydd Davies-Hughes, an artisan carpenter hashand crafted all the doors to individual shapesand some incorporate the work of glass artist, BillSwann. Of particular note is Davies-Hughes'sbeautiful oak and ash staircase which smoothlywinds and twists in natural form around thecurved walls to the landing above. Sir SimonJenkins, Chairman of the National Trust, formereditor of The Times, and author on architecturehas written that Cynefin is an outstandingexample of Britishcraftsmanship in wood, on a par with the Arts andCrafts movement, and recalling the artistry ofAntoni Gaudi.
