• To tell my new teacher all about me. • I can use full sentences with

capital letters and full stops.

Explanation of activity Suggested Resources

• Write a letter to your new teacher to tell them

all about you.

• Use the mild, spicy or hot template to help you.

• Things you might want to include are:

- About your family and pets.

- Your hobbies and interests.

- Your favourite food, sport, game, animal, etc.

- Your favourite things about school.

- Things that you find tricky at school or things

you want to focus on improving next year.

- Plans you have for the summer holidays.

• Why was Ellie upset?

• Ellie needs someone who can help her when she

is upset. Complete the ‘Who should Ellie turn

to?’ activity below. Discuss your answers with

an adult at home.

• A trusted adult is always the best person to

turn to when you are upset.

• Ellie turned to Magnus when she was upset –

was this the best thing to do?

Activity 2

• Think about all the good qualities you found

and discussed in activity 1.

• Write a message to Ellie advising her on what

she could do after she saw the mean comments

that she thinks Sam has posted.
