For my magazine I would like to cover the topic of fashion, specifically 'hypebeast' and limited edition fashion. A similar magazine to the one I will be producing is Vogue magazine. Vogue magazine is a monthly issued fashion magazine. It focuses on classy, expensive and latest fashion. Vogue is a very well known high end fashion magazine that uses well known models and popular celebrities. I would like to use a familiar face on my magazines front cover to attract an audience to read my magazine.

My own idea

The name of my magazine will be 'MODE'. I have chosen this name as mode means fashion and my magazine is a fashion based publication. The name is simple and gets to the point, it is not too complicated and readers can notice by the name of the magazine the genre of it. The masthead will also be simple as from my research I have discovered that fashion magazines have simple mastheads. a simple masthead will also look classy and reflect the content of my magazine.

For my centre image I will use a model who will act as a well known celebrity. I will have the model cantered on the cover and have a straight forward pose of the model stranding and looking directly at the camera. I would like the model to look directly at the camera to give off the effect that the model is looking at the audience moreover making it more personal for the reader. The model will be either outside in some greenery or in a studio with a plain background. I want a plain background or something simple as I do not want to distract the reader with too much imagery.

My main cover lien will be the main story. For my double page spread I will be creating an article on where to purchase this seasons clothing and limited edition clothing. My main cover line will mention this to the audience so they are aware what is inside and will encourage them to read the article. I will use a catchy, clever and play on words for my cover line to attract the audience.

I will also include plugs on my magazine cover relating to the fashion content I will have inside my magazine. I will highlight the best and most interesting parts of my magazine as this will attract the audience and will make them want to read the magazine.

For my colour scheme I have decided to go form something simple that will not distract the audience from the content. If I decide to use a greenery background I will use a green and white colour scheme as this will match and fit in with the centre image. if I decide to shoot the photograph in a studio I will use a red and white colour scheme as my research tell me these are sophisticated colours that are common on magazine front covers.
