“Call of the Wild”June 18-22Ohio is home to a great variety of plants and animals, each using their unique adapta ons to survive within their environment. Dedicated people have made careers studying Ohio’s amaz-ing wildlife to help us learn and discover more about each species so we can be er help and protect them. Come explore the lives of these professionals as we become herpetologists study-ing rep les and amphibians or ornithologists studying birds, discovering careers thru games, wildlife encounters, and outdoor explora on!!

“Wild about Wildlife”July 9-13Insects, raptors, and bats, oh my! Come learn about these amazing animals as we get wild about wildlife! Campers will pollinate

with the bees, hunt with the hawks, and call with the frogs, as they explore the world through the eyes of Ohio’s awe-inspiring wildlife. Come discover their unique skills and adapta ons and how we can use our own skills to help protect the wildlife here in Ohio!

These mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians have unique adapta ons that help them fi nd, capture, and consume their foods. Come explore the night woods, meet our wildlife ambassadors and discover how these amazing creatures are perfectly suited for nocturnal sur-vival! Maximum 30 kids.

River Float“Wild about Water”FULL - Tuesday, July 17; 9:30am - 3:30pm (rain date Thursday, July 19) Monday, July 23; 9:30am - 3:30pm (rain date Thursday, July 26)BNC has a variety of habitats and wildlife in part because we’re next to the Scenic S llwater River. Known for its slow moving, clean and clear water, the S llwater River is home to many pollu on intolerant fi sh and macroinvertebrate species. Join us as we explore the river while tubing from our main building to our River’s Edge property - located on Calumet Road. Along the way we will use nets to catch and evaluate aqua c creatures, use snorkeling masks to observe the underwater habitat, watch for mammals and birds along the shorelines, and more! Maximum 10 kids.

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES:• Payment for Programs: Payment is due at the me of registra on. Cash or check only. • Medical Consent Forms: Must be completed prior to the start of camp. Forms can be found online at

bruknernaturecenter.com/assets/bnc_medical-consent-form.pdf. • Withdrawal Policy: Reimbursement of payment registra on is not available for any program cancella on

within two (2) weeks of the start of a program. Cancella on occurring more than 2 weeks prior to the start of a program, will receive a 50% refund.

• Par cipant Sign-in/out: Parents will be required to sign-in their child each day and children will only be released from BNC when their parent/adult arrives to pick them up.

• Dismissal of Par cipant: BNC staff reserve the right to dismiss a child from a program if his/her behavior is nega vely aff ec ng the group. A refund is not issued if a par cipant is dismissed from a program.

We receive no tax dollars but depend on contribu ons and memberships, as well as grants, program and rental fees.

We offer several levels of membership. Our most popular, the Family Membership ($35.00) covers parents and their children under the age of 18 OR grandparents and their grandchildren under the age of 18. Your membership helps to preserve this beau ful natural area and provides funding for environmental educa on and wildlife rehabilita on.

INTERPRETIVE CENTER HOURS:Monday - Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Summer PEEP

“Summer me Fun at BNC!”Summer I and Summer II SessionsImagine a place w h e r e y o u r child can fl u er from milkweed to milkweed like a bu erfl y, buzz like a bee and help pol-linate the fl ow-ers, roll over logs and look for squirmy worms or fi nd a spot to sit back, relax and become part of a nature story book! These are the experiences wai ng for them in PEEP! Classes are off ered one day a week for six weeks and take place on Tues-day, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30am. An addi onal a ernoon class is off ered on Fridays from 12:30 - 2:30pm. Class size is limited to 12 children!

Session I: May 29 – July 13 (no classes the week of July 4)

Session II: July 17 – August 24.
