Andie Passi UWRT1103 Dear Malcom, My name is Andie Passi. I’m a freshman here at UNCC although this was not my first choice. For many years I have been interested in fashion design and really just design in general. My dream for most of my life was to go to NC State (I hope you aren’t a Chapel Hill fan), but that was temporarily ended when I was not admitted last year. Although I have enjoyed my time at UNCC, it is my dream to study design at NC State next fall. I am originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where I was born and raised by my mother. After seven years of living there, my mom, brother and I moved to Ballantyne, a part of Charlotte where we currently live. My mom recently remarried to my step dad, Phil, and I am now one of four kids. I have two younger step-siblings and one older brother, Alex. My two step- siblings are still both at Ardrey Kell High School where I also attended freshman through senior year. My older brother is a junior at NC State studying electrical engineering. Most of the time I get to spend with my siblings we are either playing a very aggressive game of monopoly orwatching weird Netflix movies. Although I am not very athletic, I love anything to do with tennis. My mom, who is actually really good at the sport, and I spend most of our time shopping and playing tennis together. In addition to those two things, I am very close to my mom and find myself spending most of my time with her when I am home from school. Another “member” of my family that I am very close to is my golden retriever, Zoe. She’s eleven years old and suffers from serious arthritis in her back legs but besides that she is the sweetest dog I have ever known. Andie PassiUWRT1103Dear Malcom,

My name is Andie Passi. Im a freshman here at UNCC although this was not my first choice. For many years I have been interested in fashion design and really just design in general. My dream for most of my life was to go to NC State (I hope you arent a Chapel Hill fan), but that was temporarily ended when I was not admitted last year. My two step-siblings are still both at Ardrey Kell High School where I also attended freshman through senior year.

Another member of my family that I am very close to is my golden retriever, Zoe. Shes eleven years old and suffers from serious arthritis in her back legs but besides that she is the sweetest dog I have ever known. In addition to her, I also have a Weimaraner, Bella, but she is a different story. Bella spends most of her time stealing food off the counter and peeing on all of our couches. Although I believe she is a sweet dog, the rest of my family does not feel the same way. Apart from my family, I spend a lot of my time with my boyfriend, Logan, who I have been dating for almost two years and best friend, Rachel, who I have been friends with since the second grade. Logan is a baseball player at NC State and Rachel is an engineer major at NC State as well. Unfortunately, I do not get to see either of them very often since they have pretty busy schedules. In addition to being with friends, I enjoy cooking in my free time. Coming from an Italian family, cooking has always been an important thing to my family and me. Every time I visit my father in Rome, we spend most of our time making up new recipes and eating lots of different kinds of food. Id say the most important fact about me would be my love for food. My favorite food is definitely any type of pasta but out of the broad category, penne a la vodka would have to be my number one choice. One thing I think you should know about me is my lack of writing ability. Most of my life I wanted to have a job that dealt something with writing because I really enjoyed it. My junior year of high school ended those dreams for me, unfortunately. My AP English teacher was very strict on grading and failed me on almost every paper I wrote. Since then, I have been really self conscious about my writing abilities and have turned to loving math instead. I hope that through this english class I will grow to love writing again but I think I may be too far gone for that.
