As you know, a smile is a friendly gesture

that attracts people. Although it is so simple, it is also the most effective way to show that you are glad to see them, and you are sincerely interested in them. Peo-ple are attracted to smiley, happy faces. Moreover, smiling is actually beneficial for your physical, mental and emotional health. "Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy". Smiling helps you to be happy, and makes you look friendly. That's why it is the best way to attract new friends. If you smile at some-one, she (or he) will smile back, and that can be the beginning of a friendship. After all, a smile costs nothing.

So, smile at strangers and you just might

change lives: your life and their lives.

Be sociable, smile and talk to new people.

Participate in social activities like parties,

or community and school events, where

you can meet people who will be your fu-

ture friends. It is hard to attract friends, if

you are antisocial. Talk to someone from

your class, and see the common interests

you both have. Smile lightens you up, so

smile when you introduce yourself to a

new person.

Be careful! There is a line when meeting people, between a good friend and some-body looking for a date. When you meet a boy and you want to be a friend to him, make sure that he knows your intentions.

When you find yourself "tongue-tied", feeling shy, or even embarrassed, then smile. It is the most beautiful way to "overcome" difficult situations, and helps you to relax and take your time. Smile "sends signals" to people watching, that you are easy going and fun.

Smile and listen to what your "future"

friends have to say, in order to show

them, that you care, and in order to under-

stand how your new friends feel. People

seek friends, who care to listen to what

they are saying.

Smile and do something that will get you

noticed, like helping them out if they need it, for example. True friendship starts when someone lends a helping hand to someone who needs it.

Smile, laugh and tell jokes. If you don't

know any jokes, find some. Try to see the

humorous side of everything, and be a

pleasant new friend.

From the other hand, remember that not

everyone will like you. Some girls are in-

secure, and not open to new friendships.

Smile to show them that you like them,

even if they don't like you. You will see

that, even if they don't like you, they will

respect you.

You can make friends naturally, but it takes work to keep them. People love to see smiley faces around them.

Smile and let your relationships shine

through.

It is important is to smile during the hard-est of times. Your friends will like to see you, when they have problems, or when they are down, and they will feel closer to you.

If they need a shoulder to cry on, be there

for them, and remind them what Charles

Chaplin used to say: "You will find that

life is still worthwhile, if you just smile".

It is also important of course, to know

when to stop smiling. When one of your

new friends gossips, don't smile. Show her,

or him, that you are responsible, you have

values, and you care about the others. If

you gossip with your friend about the oth-

ers, then she (or he) will feel that you will

gossip about her too.

A smile can change the world around you,

so "use" it with respect. Know the differ-

ence between being happy and smiley, and

being silly and goofy.

In conclusion, withhold a smile only when the smile can hurt someone. Otherwise, smile out loud, and let your smile bloom forth in a riot. Too often we underestimate the power of a smile: it has the potential to turn a life around; your life! So, begin a new day with a simple smile!

You are finally home from school! Awesome, it is time to relax a bit and spend some quality time

with your besties. Why not try an all-natural face mask to release some stress and freshen your face?

Here, are a couple of masks that are really simple and made of only good ingredients that you can

probably find in your kitchen.

Remember before you begin either mask, make sure your face is clean and dry. Oh yeah and don't forget to wear your cutest headband or

barrettes to keep your hair off your face.

Naner Mask

Bananas are great for snacks and are pretty good for your skin too. Bananas naturally remove excess oils from your skin and have anti-

bacterial properties that can clear up acne prone skin. Try the Naner mask, if you or your besties are prone to oily skin by the end of the

day.

First gather up a few supplies:

One ripe or over-ripe banana

Honey (one Tbsp)

Bowl

Fork

Towel

Now that you have your supplies at hand, let’s get started! Peel a ripe banana, place it in the bowl, and use the fork to mash it up. Once

you have a nice banana puree, add a table spoon of honey and stir until you get a nice even spreadable consistency. For mixing ease, you

may want to heat honey just a bit before you add it to the banana puree. Perfect! Now spread the yummy smelling mask onto your clean

face. Let the mask sit for about fifteen minutes and then wipe away with a warm towel.

Yogi Mask

If your skin tends to be on the dry and flaky, side try a yogurt and egg white mask. The two ingredient mask will replenish the skin with

soothing yogurt and keep your pores refined with egg whites. First gather these ingredients and supplies:

• 2 Tbsp plain yogurt (not flavored) in either Greek or regular style

• Two Eggs (use the whites only)

• Bowl

• Fork

•Towel

First, begin by separating the egg whites from the yolks. Use the edge of the bowl to crack the egg. Then move the egg yolk from side to

side of cracked halves. The whites should shift out into the bowl (repeat for second egg). Either discard unused yolks or place them in a

small container for a yummy recipe later. Now add 2 Tbsp of yogurt to egg whites and whisk with the fork. Mix well until the mask has

an even consistency. Next using your fingers apply the creamy mixture over your face keeping it away from the eyes. Allow the mask to

dry for five to ten minutes. You will notice your skin will feel tighter as it dries this is your pores shrinking up; smaller pores will give

your face a smooth clean look. Once mask is dried remove it with a warm wet towel.

Awwww…doesn’t that feel good? Your face is revitalized and clean. Now there is nothing between your smiling face and the rest of the

world. Next time you and your besties need to relax, boost your mood and your bonding time with these fun and easy face masks.

Food Dish for Instant Happiness

There’s something about eating that tends to put a smile on most people’s

faces. From the flavors, to the appearance of the food, and simply the

company you’re sharing a meal with, it’s fair to say eating brings joy to the

table. However, there are foods that not only taste, look and smell great,

but also make you feel great. And that is a recipe for true instant happi-

ness.

For starters, fruits and vegetables are key elements to a healthy, happy

you. It’s easy to get bored with the “apple a day” routine, but it’s even

easier to get your fruits and veggies in, in a fun way. Sweet potato fries

are easy to prepare and offer an instant boost of cheerfulness—as a healthy carbohydrate, a sweet potatoes structure increases the

chemical in our brains which is involved in keeping us happy. Not to mention, sweet potatoes are filled with vitamin A and antioxidants

which promote your overall well-being.

Slice the potatoes lengthwise and toss them in a plastic bag with a splash or two of olive oil. The fun part is that you can add seasonings of

your choice. For a spicy kick, try chili powder with cumin. If it’s a sweeter version you’re going for, cinnamon and nutmeg go a long way.

Toss the bag and spread out on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, until cooked to your liking. After that first

bite, you’ll be smiling.

camera, shine out on a girls’ day out or to impress a guy, a girl definitely needs her smile. But the question

here is: How to have a beautiful smile?

Are you wearing the right lip gloss?

This fall, apply the correct lip colour and make your smile even more stunning. Summers are gone, so girls

start prepping this fall for a red-lip renaissance! Which shades should you slick on first? Here is an array of

some to kick off the season right:

There is no better time to try Garden-like shades of tomato red, than this fall. Whether you are pale, tan or

somewhere in between, there is a flattering orange lip gloss out there for you all! Warm skin tones look for

yellow based oranges and those with cool skin tones light red or coral oranges is your answer.

Deep wines to juicy berries to almost-blacks turned heads on 2013 Autumn Winter runways. They are a little hard

to pull off, but once you find your right shade, you are ready to rock the latest bold beauty trend. Shades of brick

red or berry are the best for fair skin tones, whereas Medium Skin Tones can go with a slightly darker tint in bur-

gundy or maroon and those with dark Skin Tones, lucky for you, any dark lip gloss would work.

So, whether it is the feeling of being overexposed or the uncertainty of picking the right shade, a classic red lip

What Does Your Smile Say About You? "A smile, is happiness you will find right under your nose."

Smiling is the simplest way to give a moment of joy, to everyone that you meet. When you smile, you send the

message that you are comfortable with yourself and with other people. Life is like a mirror, and you get the best

results when you smile at it. Try all of your smiles in front of that mirror, and you will be able to see what your

smile says about you!

So, first of all, there is the inviting smile, which -combined with a direct eye contact- is an invitation to conversa-

tion. As young girls and boys are sometimes insecure and shy, they won't approach you to introduce themselves,

unless they see this warm, inviting smile on your face. Use it, and get ready to flash them!

From the other hand, the shy smile may mean that you need encouragement, so it can be a way for you to attract

new friends. If you are shy, then your close-mouthed smile with upturned corners, will attract the "inviting

smiles" of your future friends. After all, most smiles start by another smile.

The confident smile, is the one that you use when you talk with your teachers, or when you take an exam.

This is a smile that you can try out in your mirror, at home. Sometimes if you look confident about yourself, you

"gain points". But be careful of that fake smile: if you use it a lot, you may turn out to be a politician!

Above all, remember that a fake smile (when you smile with your mouth, but not with your eyes) is regarded

with suspicion, and makes people back off. A genuine smile is one of the best ways of winning friends, as it says

that you are a warm and approachable person. This is the smile, where the skin around your eyes bunches up.

People smile for different reasons: fear, embarrassment, confusion, happiness etc. and their eyes always give

them away. You see, the muscles around the eyes can't be forced to look happy, so when people smile for real,

their cheeks rise and the skin around their eyes bunches up. If the smile doesn't reach the eyes, then it is an empty

smile.

Sometimes, forcing yourself to smile, can actually make you happier. This is the sad smile, with the uplifting of

your mouth corners. The sad smile is the reflection of your feelings and a cry for help. It says: "Ask me what is

wrong and make me feel better".

To conclude, your best smile is the laughing smile; the smile of the existence, the spotlight that shines on your

heart, the one that can brighten the darkest day! This is your deepest heartfelt smile, that is accompanied by a

chuckle. It is the sign of a happy and easy going person. So, wear a smile - one size fits all!

1 Lay each t-shirt out on a flat work surface. Cut off the arms and neckline of the shirts, leaving a rough square behind.

2 Cut up one side of the t-shirt so you can open it up into one long, flat rectangle. Remove both seams.

3 Starting at the bottom of the t-shirt, cut it into strips about a ½-inch wide. Continue up the shirt until you have a pile of strings. Repeat with the other t-shirt.

4 Gently grasp each end of the t-shirt strings and pull outward until they roll. You can do several strips at one time.

5 Cut one strip in half and set it aside.

Scarves are a hot trend right now, so you probably want to fill your closet with a variety of options. Problem is,

they don’t always come cheap. For a just few dollars and a little bit of work,

you can make yourself a way cool string scarf that you won’t see on any of

your friends’ necks.

Items Needed:

2 t-shirts (both the same color or two different colors) Scissors Headband embellishments

6 Pile your strings into a heap, roughly lining up the ends. If you’re using two colors, mix them up a bit.

7 Use one of the string halves you set aside and tie it around the top of the pile of strings, leaving about an inch free at the top.

8 Loosely braid the strips about halfway down their length.

9 Slide a headband embellishment, such as a flower or bow, up a handful of the strings until it reaches the end of your braid. Use a needle and thread to secure it if it seems like it will move around too much.

10 Finish braiding the scarf until you have about an inch left at the bottom.

Fold your scarf in half so both the free ends match up.

Use the other half string to tightly secure the two ends together and to prevent the braid from coming undone.

Tia Brown has done it! She is developing that charming smile through her Tia’s Tots & Teens Charm School. Inspired by her grandmother, Ms. Brown is leaving a legacy of her own. Girls can expect to receive a sense of moral balance and integrity as well as poise and confidence. Ms. Brown tells us that her goal is to provide girls with confidence development, etiquette, quality nutrition, fitness, hygiene techniques, basic make-up instruction, and additional personal coaching classes. Each session is not only inspiring but they allow girls to showcase their charming smile through a community fashion show or a group photo. Tia’s Tots & Teens Charm School is a mix of old fashion techniques with a modern twist to it. smile congrats Ms. Brown for being one of our raindrops for positivity. She is causing waves that will impact these girls through charm! Have you ever seen someone wearing something so cute that you find yourself thinking about it days later? Let’s say you see someone at the mall with a red purse. You may not talk to that girl, but you notice her bold choice of accessories. You might think to yourself that you should get a red purse, and throughout the next few days, catch yourself think-ing of how cute that purse was and wondering where you might be able to get one. A week later, you're getting dressed and all you can think of is how cute a red purse would look with your outfit.

That is the power of accessories—they make people take notice. The accessories you choose to wear can say a lot about you. There are people that you may never get to talk to that will notice your accessories and what they say about you. Without even meeting you, someone may be able to tell that you like the color pink or that lace is your favorite fabric. They can tell that you prefer boots instead of flip-flops or that bracelets are your go-to accessories. When you choose your accessories, you are choosing the pic-ture of yourself that you want to show others that day.

With this in mind, suddenly picking out the right accessories seems important! What do you want people to remember about you? What if your style changes? Is there any one accessory that could go with everything? The answer is probably much sim-pler than you were expecting.

A smile is your best accessory. Yes, a smile. Re-member the girl and her red purse? A smile works the same way. When someone sees you smiling, it reminds them that they should be smiling, and this is

something that will occupy their thoughts for the next few days. In the same way that you would notice how cute a girl looks with her purse or shoes, others will notice how happy you look when you are wearing a smile. In the same way that you may want to find some similar accessories to someone you no-ticed that has cute style, others will want to find a way to look as happy as you do—all because of your choice of the best accessory!

There are people you may never meet or even talk to that will only see you for a few moments—what do you want them to remember about you? Sure, they’ll remember your bright pink pants, or your oversized sweater. But if you’re also wearing a smile, they’ll remember that.

No matter what your style, a smile is the perfect ac-cessory to brighten any outfit. Preppy, hippy, punk-rock … a smile goes with anything and everything. Bonus points: it’s free and contagious. Try to name another accessory that’s both free and that you can share with everyone you see—it’s not possible!

You are beautiful and uniquely you, and your acces-sories should reflect that! So the next time you’re getting dressed, make sure you remember you very best accessory—a smile that is beautifully and uniquely you.

Smiling lights up your face with gladness, making your inner light shine! Smiling sends a positive message to your brain, making you feel joyful! When you feel good, others take no-tice. Happiness is contagious! Smiles create joy and positivity. They act like magnets attracting others to you. Smiles passed from one person to another spread like wildfire, engulfing all peo-ple within smile range, and send out the vibe that you are a fun, confident, and approachable person! Smiling makes you appear more attractive to others since everyone enjoys the compa-ny of a happy person! Smiling at people puts them at ease, letting them know you are ap-proachable, and interested in creating new friendships. People are immediately drawn to the person in the room with a bright friendly smile. Happy people always seem to have a group of friends around them, because everyone likes to be close to positive people! Start smiling more today and see how people react to your friendly facial expres-sions!

If you want to know the secret to displaying a confident personality to attract others, the answer is simple-SMILE! When you smile, it lifts up your spirits! Smiling connects people like no other emotion can. The wonderful thing about smiles is they’re universal expressions, understood all over the world! It doesn’t matter what age, gender, or race you are, everyone knows when someone smiles at you, it’s an invitation for friendship, and represents pleasure and joy.
