DENNIS EAGLE TRAINING

We offer a variety of training options for your Dennis Eagle products.

TECHNICAL TRAINING

Our technical training courses aim to provide delegates with the skills and experience to recognise faults and carry out repairs and maintenance in a safe and efficient manner. Technical training combines classroom-based learning with practical sessions and is available for our chassis, body and bin lift products.

TOOLBOX TRAINING

Toolbox training sees our trainer instruct Engineers on the mechanical and technical side of our product. This includes general maintenance and basic fault diagnosis.

VEHICLE OPERATION

Operator Instruction

Our trainer will visit your site when your new vehicle arrives to demonstrate the functions of the vehicle and refuse system and to instruct your operatives on how to use the product in a safe and correct manner.

Train a Trainer

Our trainer can instruct your supervisors or in-house-trainers to deliver Operator Instruction to the same level as our trainers.

REAR STEER ADVICE

Onsite our trainer will explain and demonstrate the operation and function of the rear steer system.

DENNIS EAGLE TECHNICAL TRAINING – COURSES AND COSTS

Elite 6 Chassis

Attending delegates should have experience working with mechanical and electrical systems. Course content includes Euro 6 legislation, the D8K engine, ECU functions and locations, air braking components and function, air suspension components and function and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Olympus Body

Attending delegates should have experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems and be familiar with schematic drawings. Course content includes body structure and servicing, hopper structure and servicing, electrical systems component and operation, fault diagnosis and repair, pump, valve and ram operations and navigating around the vehicles’ electrical and hydraulic schematics.

Olympus Twin Pack

Attending delegates should have a good knowledge of basic electrical and hydraulic systems. Course content includes body structure and servicing, hopper structure and servicing, hydraulic system operation (including variable displacement pumps and proportional valves) and electrical system including CANbus.

Electronic Truck Steering

Attending delegates should be competent engineers with a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. Course content includes programming, repair and fault finding on the ETS system, mid and rear steer, ETS function, safety and depressurising, adjusting and calibration of steering systems, electrical and hydraulic schematics and fault diagnostics codes and alarms.

Beta 2 Bin Lift

Attending delegates should be competent engineers who have experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems and be able to navigate schematic drawings at a basic level. Course content includes component location and operation and fault diagnosis.

We also offer training on: Olympus Mini, Elite 2 Chassis, Euro 4/5 Engine and Introduction to Vehicle Electrics; please contact us for more details on these courses.

COURSE COSTS

For courses held at DE sites, cost is per delegate and includes training materials, refreshments and lunch. Accommodation and transfers are not included.

1 day courses, £350+VAT | 2 day courses, £450+VAT | 3 day courses, £550+VAT

We can also run courses at your site upon request and subject to trainer availability. You should have facilities for lunch and refreshments, a training room with projector and screen and a suitable vehicle available for the full duration of the course.

Toolbox Training

Our Trainer will instruct Engineers on the mechanical and technical side of our product. This includes general maintenance and basic fault diagnosis.

Special Requirements

Any access, learning or dietary requirements should be indicated at the time of booking.

Safety

Appropriate Personal Protection Equipment must be worn to ensure delegates can safely participate in all aspects of the training course. We will supply PPE where necessary for courses based at Dennis Eagle, however all delegates MUST bring and wear their own safety shoes for the duration of a course to participate in any practical sessions. Failure to do so may result in them being unable to complete the course.

Cancellations - Customer

You must inform us if a delegate will not be attending. In the case of cancellation, an invoice for full or partial costs of the training and any hotels or transfers may be issued.

Cancellations - Dennis Eagle

Dennis Eagle Ltd reserves the right to cancel training courses should the need arise; however, we will where possible attempt to accommodate affected delegates on the next mutually suitable course.
