Strength calculations

Strength calculations

DENTA Engineering carries out strength calculations as part of its day-to-day activities in connection with the development of machines, structures and products. The tool we use to do this is Femap, the market leader in the field of finite element analysis. We also use MathCAD for carrying out conventional calculations and producing reports.

Finite element analysis

We use Femap to carry out the following calculations:> Material stresses > Movements> Cracks and folds> Natural frequency > Determination of reactive forces > Plastic deformation

Conventional calculations

We use Mathcad to carry out the following calculations:> Determination of forces occurring > Simultaneous calculation of multiple load cases > Simple strength analyses> Reporting of calculations

Strength calculationsFinite element analysis

Wave rotor ®> Design optimisation> Strength analysis (including fatigue)> Advice on the use of materials

The wave rotor generates energy using tidal flows. DENTA calculated the strength and rigidity ofthe structure and provided advice on the materials to be used.
