Device to Ease MRI Breast Device to Ease MRI Breast Biopsy ProceduresBiopsy Procedures
In current MRI biopsy procedures, radiologists must make several manual adjustments until the biopsy needle is in the vicinity of the suspicious tissue
Because operators adjust the positioner from the MRI control room via computer-generated coordinates, the device not only may improve biopsy accuracy, but also may reduce the biopsy time from an hour to about 20 minutes.

Portable Voice CalibratorPortable Voice CalibratorThe goal of this project is to design an affordable microprocessor-based feedback device that would minimize the need for voice therapy sessions for patients with loss of speech intelligibility. It must alert the user when his or her voice intensity falls below a specified threshold. This device should be easy to use, light-weight, portable and unobtrusive.

Self-Disarming Suture Self-Disarming Suture NeedleNeedle
The suture needle is designed to prevent disease transmission caused by accidental sticks. The design includes a fluid-filled balloon that when depressed, causes the suture needle to protrude from a protective sheath. Releasing the balloon mechanism retracts the suture needle.
