Attendance Tracking • Creates a Grade Center Column– displays in one Grade Center

column that cannot be deleted

• Points for attendance- You can adjust how many points overall attendance is worth and whether or not it’s included in overall grades

• NOTE - If you activate this tool it will create a grade column worth 100points that is not removable, however you can edit the points that it’s worth(or simply track attendance and make it worth no points at all). Pleaseensure you want to use this tool prior to using it in Bb.

• Use properly formatted headings (not just larger fonts)

• Format lists into bulleted or numbered lists

• Link text should be short and descriptive

• Tables used for presenting data (not design layout) with column and/or row headers

• Colors are used sparingly, have sufficient background/foreground contrast, not used as the only wayto convey meaning

• Images need alternative text (the text equivalent of that image’s contents) or marked as decorative

• Blackboard – keep the default course menu (don’t add or remove links), use default fonts (firstcopy and paste into Notepad/TextEdit to strip out formatting and hidden HTML), use Ally

• Syllabus Template – located in the Teacher’s Toolbox, recently updated for accessibility
