Recently Motorola has launched its two successful smart phones known as Motorola Droid and an advanced version of Droid released previously known as
Motorola Droid Xtreme going to launch in July, 2010. These two models are designed with a basic purpose to facilitate users in an advanced and enchanting way.
Though the names are bit same but there is quite a considerable difference in the manufacturing technology used in both of these mobile phones. Some of the
features of the both the models are same while some of them are different. These few differences are discussed below:
Processor Difference:
There is almost 200 MHz processor difference that appears in these two models with Droid using an Arm Cortex A8 600 MHz processor under-clocked to 550 MHz
while there is a rumor that Motorola Xtreme is loaded with an OMAP3630 processor running at 700MHz.
Specs Difference:
There is a considerable difference in the Motorola Droid specs. Droid Life-tipster suggests that droid runs a Google Android 2.2 FroYowith 9 home screens with no
use of Motoblur UI. While some other specs are differentiated below in the table.

Accessories difference:
Motorola phone accessories are also different with Motorola Droid supporting previously made accessories and Motorola Xtreme supports new and advanced
accessories. However, there are some universally supported accessories including chargers, Bluetooth headsets, and body covers. Motorola Xtreme is a bit slim
and it thus occupies less space as compared to Motorola Droid previous version.
Rating:
As Motorola Droid is an old version and users always consider shifting to new model hence, Motorola Xtreme seems to gain more ratings than simple Droid.
Name Difference:
There is a nominal difference in the names of these models as previous version being named as Motorola Droid and it is a speculation that new version would take
any name from Droid X, Motorola Droid Xtreme or Motorola Droid Shadow. I think Motorola will fall somewhere near around Droid Xtreme or Droid X.Which name
you suggest is best for the new version?
Other differences:
It is speculated that with all of the above mentioned differences, there is also a difference in the battery timings of both of these mobile phone models with Motorola
Xtreme battery being more powerful than simple Droid phone.
