All I feel's an endless data streamI see the eyes in the computer screenMisinformation is surrounding me It breaks me down, I'm on my knees
I need to get on higher frequenciesI want to live inside the mysteryI need your silence to hide in the night To understand and never wonder why
The crowd goes …Beep Beep BeepMy phone goes …Beep Beep BeepThe whole world goes …Beep Beep BeepBut you go:Oh La LaOh La La
My car goes …Beep Beep BeepThe Time goes …Beep Beep BeepThe whole world goes …Beep Beep BeepBut you go:Oh La LaOh La La
I see a shadow in the datasphere I feel a change in the atmosphereI hear the calling and it's crystal clearTime to disengage, to disappear
The jury's out and the reports are inI crunched the numbers and they fell withinThe range of danger for a foreign mind A foreign body falling out of time
The crowd goes …Beep Beep BeepMy phone goes …Beep Beep BeepThe whole world goes …Beep Beep BeepBut you go:Oh La LaOh La La
My car goes …Beep Beep BeepThe Time goes …Beep Beep BeepThe whole world goes …Beep Beep BeepBut you go:Oh La LaOh La La

I was young not long agoIt was like a picture showI just thought of no-one elseI was playing by myself
I was young not long agoI was small but I would growInto the man I am todayI always knew I'd find a way
Fade in and out of dreamsAnd as short as it all seemsWhen you whisperI will listen …Speak, memory
Fade in and out of dreamsAnd as short as it all seemsWhen you wisperI will listen …Speak, memory
I was young not long agoI had music in my bonesI learned the words to my favorite songsI never thought of right or wrong
I was young not long agoI kissed you in the winter snowI smile all the way back homeI creep behind my parents door
Fade in and out of dreamsAnd as short as it all seemsWhen you whisperI will listen …Speak, memory
At 4-am I'm on the phoneYou tell me that the nights still youngHanging on your every wordI swear one day I'll see the world
Open up my diaryAnd it's diagrams of all the things I'll beAll the people I will meetAll my future memories

contribute to these collabora-tions?
A: To Soulwax, I am The Ravenaïf Whose Eyes Will Not Stop Gleaming. To Jesper Dahlback, I bring vision and viscera to the Funky Picture Show. To Gonzales, I am The Man with the Toggle-Switch Eyebrows. To Jori Hulkkonen, I am Futureface. To James Murphy, I am the Off-the-Wall Montrealer.
I have always felt that playing instruments and touching equipment is beneath me, so I am forced to communicate all my ideas with my voice. Around the studio, they call me The Vibesayer. To my face.
Q: So this is the best way for you to work?
A: It is infinitely preferable to my prior experiences working in band settings. Projects like Tiga Genesis and the New Believers and Tiga McCool and Wrong Side O’ The Traxx started off
The following is a transcript of the world’s first-ever non-interactive CD-ROM— “Funksta 2 Funksta: Tiga Unleashed”.
Q: What do you think sets this new album apart from your past work?
A: Writing songs before I record them. It thought this would primarily entail aging sheet music with teabags, but I quickly learned otherwise. It’s ultimately a matter of trusting yourself, of having the courage to say, “These are the times, and these are the rhymes.”
Having now been through the process, I feel I have become exactly what Leonard Cohen would be if he owned a jetski with a detachable sidecar. Or a bicycle built for two where the riders face each other. I call it a Spicycle.
Q: You work largely within a group of friends who are all established, respected musicians. What are the most important things you
with nothing but the highest of ideals, but would quickly and inevitably devolve into who peed on whose drum pads. I pride myself on my false humility, but pretending that you actually value a keyboardist’s opinion is not worth all the CD singles in Japantown.
I will admit, though, that the breakup of Tiga Culprit and the Plainclothes Policemen was probably my fault. You can mace a bandmate to a point, but when his eyes begin to melt, then maybe it’s time to step back and take a deep breath.
Q: What is it to sing?
A: (Singing) “My friend, I never dreamed that / I would get to sing / Never knew the fun and passion / That my voice would bring.”
I have learned that the voice can lift what muscles mustn’t. I’m talking about the human spirit, jerk. Do you sing people over cliffs, or down from ledges?
A: My role is to descend from above, sprinkling the crowd with unimaginable spices, leaving them at the brink of Tex-Mexstacy. There is a real sense of community, the kind of community where demigods walk incarnate amongst the scum.
The phenomenon reminds me of that Nitzer Ebb song, “Join in the Fun.” Revel, but at a respectful distance. I am all for inclusion so long as it doesn’t involve me personally at any level.
I do, however, select a particularly spirited dancer from each of my shows and keep them in my under-ground Bestiary, or Mutant Zoo. It’s the happiest existence they could possibly hope for – dancing for food, dancing for toothpaste, dancing for eye contact. And dance they do!
What people need to understand is that I’ve earned it. I got my start opening for Claude Clothès. Dancing behind dining room
Q: Talk about your lyrics for a moment. What about you do they reveal?
A: I think my lyrics mainly reveal how interesting I am. How wonderful it would be if I were ever to deign to speak to you directly. But the process has evolved, as I continue to refine my sinuses as an idea-delivery system.
“Sex O’clock”, for instance, started out as a more straightforward song called “It’s Six O’clock!” But then I caught a glimpse of my reflection in a clock face, and the idea hit me like a ton of lightning.
There are songs, though, that are too deeply personal to ever release. I’m talking about “Love, ASAP”, “Summertime Soda”, “Crestfallin’”, “Magazine Shop Lover”, “Come On Share Quebec Right Now” and “VIP (That Ain’t Me)”.
Q: How would you describe your relationship with your fans?
tables, working for a chunk of change and a chance at the hottest meal. The meal of respect.
Q: Are you happy with what you’ve been able to achieve?
A: Once you realize you have the power to rent a limo anytime you please, you know in your heart that you’re not like other men. To hear 10,000 people chant your name and then have them locked inside the venue until you have had a chance to learn all of theirs. My goal has always been to become the most famous man in the world by the time I am 50. Failing that, I will assume the identity of a respected physician. My album’s success will determine whether the world will ever come to know Dr. Timothy Tiga.
I wrote liner notes, and then I deleted them. They were mediocre.
This album would have been shit and/or nonexistant without the talent and generosity of my friends James, Gonzales, Jori, Jesper, Dave and Steph. I'm not sure what I did to deserve the honor, but it means the world to me. Without you I would just be another extremely funny guy who is amazing at football. Speaking of football I would like to present the Ciao! FC, the greatest team the world has ever known:
The starting eleven: Stephy D and Qarim as Strikers, with Heatwave Dave and Pawel K providing the creativity in midfield, while BJ and Jake Shears act as holding ‘water-carriers’. Thomas Von Party anchoring the center defense paired up with Gonzales, Jori and Jesper the flying Scandi fullbacks. And James Murphy in nets. The super subs: my dad, Zdar, Bassface, Erol, Henry, Damian, Justice, So-Me, Pedro, Alex BN, and Matt Walsh. The managers: Oliver as head manager, Cris as PR/marketing, Eric and Ryan as fitness trainers. The board of directors: my dad and WillieGoldenballs.
And a few thanks that did not fit into my air-tight football analogy: Kenny and JM, Darwin, Nabokov, Toby, the whole village of Gent, and Spaceman, and God, and Vassili for my mac.Oh and, the love of my life: Tiala. And Winter. There are no words, except maybe ‘stunning’ and ‘cool’ and ‘greatest’ and ‘sweet’.
