In other words: could the design team accept to be entirely involved within an eco-digital system, adopting a collaborative attitude in front of the other stakeholders and its own authorial primacy? It is a hard question to be answered, of course. However, there is a couple of crucial topics to be investigated: 1) the non linear contribution of the architectural & creative design within a sequential relationship occurring between the briefing stage and the scheme & detail design phases; 2) the bi-directional dialogue concerning information modeling and structural or energy modeling, allowing a probabilistic and optioneered design process. BIM is a worldwide known acronym which is reckoned as a disclosing agent of a new era featured by smart cities and internet of everything. nevertheless, the transformational potential of such a disruptive paradigm shift needs to be carefully checked and validated over the next decade, according to a long-termed strategy. meanwhile, when taking into account the leading role of the intelligent clients within the data-driven projects, a dilemma is arising: might be the architect and his/her technical consultants be part of this transition? 14.00-15.00 EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES: AN ITALIAN FLAGSHIP PROGRAmmE Laura Galimberti, Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Italian Government

The Italian government established an ambitious program concerning the retroffitted and new school buil-dings in order to rethink the learning landscape according to the most innovative international trends as well as to the main architectural strands (starting from the ideal school of Renzo Piano, to be conceived as a driver of the so called urban regeneration and mending&darning). Such effort has been achieved throughout different ways and routes (architectural competitions, partenarial contracts, etc.).The governmental strategies comprehend either the educational facilities or the learning environments, to be considered from a behavioral and participative point of view.

15.30-18.00 LEARNSCAPE: DIGITAL DESIGN WORKFLOWS FOR bEHAvIORAL APPROACHES AND COGNITIvE EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES

The course of Building Technology 2 established a teaching module on collaborative design focused upon educational facilities, which aims to devise a collaborative design workflow and an integrated contractual framework. It has been based on an unprecedented vision concerning the digitized built assets, which have to perform over theirs own life cycle as geo-spazialized and servitized devices.
