The Dome Magazine turned two years old, yet thats not all that we have for you this month; Tivoli Dome has yet another trick up its sleeves, so without further ado; ladies and gentlemen, we announce the launch of Tivoli Dome Marina! Which is regarded as yet another benchmark on our journey towards taking The Dome experience a couple of notches up.

  • editor's note

We have 24 issuesWoW! Time really flies as They say, Who Would've ThoughT The dome magazine is acTually Turning TWo years old noW? ThaTs TWenTy four issues of sleepless nighTs, Too much fun and counTless shoTs of espresso! from Where i am siTTing, i can sTraighTforWardly claim; iT's amazing!

For years and years I have alleged that the magazine business is actually one of the best, for too many reasons that can't be jammed in this paragraph, it's the ultimate expression of rudderless passion, effective team working and dedication. It's a fast paced process; in fact it's a bit unlike anything else, you get to share the same vision with a team, you get to brainstorm, sketch, and write a thousand drafts to the bin, before you get to implement some thoughts on paper. I used to arrogantly tell people back in the day; "I have fun for a living, and it does actually pay off more than anything else."

Well, let me escort you through this 24th issue that we have here; ummm our cherished team gathered some of the most controversial and interesting topics and jammed them all in one blazing

issue for you to read. Like for instance what KERS systems are? And what they do? Find out more on page ( ), and for the classic car fanatics out there, we're introducing you to what could be one of the most influential automobiles till this day, flick to page ( ) to get to have an up close and personal interview with the vintage 356 Speedster Porsche, the perfect match for such a weather. Its the same timing for some indulgence and mind clearing as well, if you're a stressed out workaholic go to page ( ) to find out on how to achieve a balanced living, such a state can easily be achieved with the right tools, one pivotal dimension here at play is to stay physically and emotionally fit, it is really astounding that such a state of well-being can be achieved with as simply as drinking enough water! You're not buying that? Okay, go to page ( ) and

find out all the facts you need to know. Here's something I rarely shared with anybody; as I was growing up, I used to read a lot of magazines, and for me it was more than just an activity or a pastime, it was pure joy. I used to carefully stockpile every single issue, and stash them all on the shelf neatly, go through them once and again every time to recall the good times. I was really loyal to my magazines The thing is; years and years later, I get to meet some people who share the same devotion! I met many who do the same thing to the magazine that I write, and it puts a genuine smile on my face! For all of our loyal and cherished Domers out there; thank you for making us grow, without your continuous and unconditional love, we would have never had our twenty four issues.

  • Ahmed tarek el-haddadThe automotive scene gurus in Egypt call him "The MultitasKING" He's known in other communities as "the Dynamo" and the names say it all! From photography, creative writing, marketing, automotive test driving, competitive Karting, Racing Simulators to programming and designing, not to mention RC model planes and cars. He is a living example of diversity for he possesses one of the steepest learning curves you can witness in this day and age, and it's incredibly contagious! In other words; he's unstoppable. At a surprisingly young age, Ahmed mastered diversified arenas with a consistent level of merit.

"I'm blessed with a steep learning curve, because I prefer to take things up a notch, and I'm immensely detail-oriented." Haddad added describing his self development appetite.

Being dexterous with every piece of equipment he gets his hands on, Haddad added; "I believe the man and machine bond is the strongest bond, given that they're in love."

Ahmed studied IT and the number of qualifications he self-studied outnumbers his years of age. Matter of fact; it's really sporadic to have this level of endowment; such hard to find examples are here amongst us for a reason; to inspire and stimulate us redefine the unattainable and push mind restrictions. And this is one living proof!

the beach&Summer is Beach! You must be always sexy and trendy even on beach that is why you must pay attention to your skin and your hair .we tend to suffer from dry skin and damaged hair during summer. But, if the right hair and skin care is provided before and after swimming, you too can maintain your beauty.

Follow these tips on hair and skin care For swimmers and swim like a gorgeous mermaid.

Always have a shower before you enter the pool, it instantly hydrates the topmost layer of your skin. Wet your hair too. This prevents them from soaking up the chemicals present in the water as dry hair is more susceptible to chemical damage.

Massage your skin with a cream for dry and

damaged skin. Repeat this after you take shower

    post swimming.

The salt content and chlorine in the beach

or pool water is a major factor contributing

to your sunburn. The above two factors also contribute to a pigmentation, chapped and

flaky skin situation. No, you don't have to stop swimming. Take a two minute break from the pool and apply a heavy sun block every half an hour to protect your skin from sun damage.

Always wear a well-fitting swimming cap. It will

prevent your hair and scalp from coming in contact with the chlorinated water.

Always wash your hair with an EDTA-containing

clarifying shampoo to ensure that no chemical residue is left behind in your hair after you come out of the pool.

Add apple cider vinegar to the last rinse of your

hair. It is a natural remedy to remove product residue in your hair that makes hair look flat.

Do not forget to apply a conditioner. A hair mousse

or leave-in conditioner is also a good option if you are pressed for time.

Supplement your diet with a multivitamin tablet

    and an omega-3 capsule.

HERE ARE SOME OTHER NATuRAl MASKS:

Apply cucumber juice to sunburns skin and leave it overnight. It helps reduce sun damage already done to the skin.

    Apply mayonnaise evenly throughout your

hair, covering the ends as well. It provides intense hydration to your hair and will get rid of the problem of 'swimmer's hair.

Mix honey and yogurt together and leave it

on your face for 20 minutes for a cooling and exfoliating face mask. It also moisturizes the skin. You may add oatmeal to this paste.

Scrub yourself every alternate day. Mix salt and

brown sugar in olive oil, scrub vigorously. Alternatively, you can also use baking soda for the same.

    Bea

    uty

You must take proper hair and skin care before and after swimming. Start your beauty routine now, before it is too late.

  • 1- natural colorLemons in a bowl adds a little zest to a white kitchen inexpensively. And who doesn't love their fresh scent? A stylish dishtowel can soften a granite countertop and pick up the green in the flowering plants lining your windowsill.

2- White outNothing beats piles of soft white towels for their luxurious look, especially when you have open shelving in a bathroom. Candles, a blue vase and green- and cream-color flowers add dashes of pretty to an all-white backdrop.

3- dishing it outDon't hide your dishes from view! Instead, make them a great kitchen feature by displaying one color or style together. Simple dishes in white and soft celadon look fabulous.

4- a group effortAvoid the cluttered, chaotic look of jam-packed shelves by grouping books and accessories of similar size and shape in mini vignettes.

5- real lookersStoring herbs and spices in uniform containers in drawers and cabinets is so easy on the eyes. The look is even cleaner when you use a label maker to denote the contents of tins or little glass jars.

6- sweet dreamsyou can't go wrong with crisp white cotton or linen bedding: it always looks inviting and elegant.

7- all lined up Keep glass cabinets bright with bold, colorful packaging. Red pop bottles with attractive labels are fun and fresh on a windowsill, too.

8 a case for basketsan attractive water hyacinth basket does a great job of organizing an assortment of liquor bottles and creates a tidy, smart-looking minibar on a countertop.

9- Two is the numberBalance and symmetry creates drama. Place two chairs so that they're framed by tall windows with an awesome view to up a room's wow factor.

10- Book buzzRemove tattered dust jackets from coffee table books, but save them. When you change your display of current faves, replace the jackets before reshelving the books.

11- a class actevery savvy stylist's standby, white dishware and linens make food look more appetizing and add timeless class to any tabletop.

12- nifty nooks It's easy to make even the smallest nook count. Flowers and a mirror make a space feel bigger are both pretty touches. Shelves hold magazines and baskets to stash the small stuff.

13- a big softieA throw brings softness to a masculine leather club chair and lends a light, inviting touch to any reading corner.

14- Window worksa windowed nook is perfect for a built-in daybed (with storage underneath). Try cosying things up with a demi-lune table and a mirror that bounces even more light into the room.

15- Table mannershorizontally placed runners are a sophisticated way to showcase a well-laid table -- they're more elegant than placemats but much less formal than a tablecloth.

  • d's family

If your child constantly squirms and fidgets when hes doing math homework or insists on listening to music while studying vocabulary words, take heart. Although it may seem like hes trying to drive you crazy, hes probably just using the strategies that help him learn.

Making FaMilyResolutions Take inventory and prioritize. If you want to turn chaos into harmony and rhythm in your household, you have to be willing to challenge everything. Nothing is sacred. You may have to change your lifestyle, rearrange your schedule or drop some of your commitments in order to fully benefit your family. Are your children involved in too many activities? Are you so busy you never have time alone with your spouse? Ask yourself what's really important to you and your family.

Recognize what you're doing to contribute to the problem. You may be very loving and well-intended, but you could be making critical mistakes. Are you a control freak? Never say no even when you're overscheduled? Have no time to sit and enjoy your children? Think about what changes could start with you.

Learn to delegate. Oftentimes, mothers take it all on themselves when their children are old enough to lend a helping hand. You can't do everything. It's admirable, but not realistic. Divide up the labor and responsibilities so you're not so worn out all the time. Give your kids specific tasks that they can each be responsible for. Your kids will appreciate it. It'll make them feel helpful and you'll have more to give them in return. Eat meals together. Spending time together is vital. If everyone has a different schedule and you don't even gather together for a family meal, you are

missing an important part of a cohesive family. Make a commitment to sit down for a family meal every evening. Everyone needs to get around the dinner table and talk about the day. Turn the TV off, take the phone off the hook and turn the chaos down. You can enjoy this time together, laughing and talking.

Create family rituals. Plan something fun for everyone to look forward to. Pick one night a week for game night. It's the time to destress, decompress, relax and have fun together without the TV on or the phone ringing. Do your children like to bake? Bake someting new every week. Find special things to do every holiday or birthday. Your kids may roll their eyes, but their ears still work and they'll be grateful for the time together.

Schedule family meetings. Taking just a short amount of time to gather and calmly talk about the week, what's coming, what's expected, and to ask questions can really bond a family. It's also a good time to organize the schedule, work out family problems and allow everyone to be heard.

Make each child feel special. Make a commitment to have "dates" with each of your kids. Find one thing you can do that's unique to each child that you don't do with the other kids. Know that you are very important to your children. The time you spend with them is vital to who they become as adults.

  • d's top lists

    1. The business grewand so did your ego. Early on you were hesitant, unsure, and filled with doubt; those feelings come with the entrepreneurship territory. You worked closely with key employees and naturally shared some of your feelings. Those employees didnt see you as weak. Instead they respected your honesty and openness, enjoyed the professional and personal connection, and felt good knowing you relied on them. Then you landed major customers, built a solid revenue base, and started to believe your own hype. Key employees knew you before you were somebody. Make sure they always get to see the real person behind your brand shell, because thats the person they want to work with.

    2. a cool sTarTup became a corporaTion. Growth naturally results in some amount of processes, procedures, and systems. Running to another persons office with a great idea got replaced by your Monday strategy meetings. Following a hunch and taking a chance on an unproven vendor got replaced by your formal RFP process. All hands on deck got replaced by formal job descriptions and meaningless battles over turf. Key employees typically hate processes and procedures, especially when early on anything wentand often worked. Building too many systems and imposing too many constraints, especially without getting input from key employees, makes your best employees start to reminisce about the good old days and eventually leave.

    3. The sky is no longer The limiT. dreaming is fun. Entrepreneurs dream. So do employees. In time some dreams become reality while others are clearly no longer possible. Great employees may not know what they want to do two, five, or 10 years from now, but they want to know they have possibilities. When your business matures and the only promotion left is replacing you, those possibilities disappear. You may not be able to change that fact, but you can talk openly about it. Ask key employees for their ideas. Ask how you can help them feel they are still progressing. If a great employee feels every other door is closed, theyll head for the exit door.

    4. excepTional skill forged handcuffs. During the start-up phase you and your employees did every job. As the business grew and matured a little focus naturally crept in, and thats a good thing. But focus also creates a problem. Key employees are key because they can do things others cant, so the gal who does the best job keeping the trains running eventually gets stuck being the one who always runs the trains. And she starts to feel stifled. And she starts to long for excitement and challenge. And eventually she leaves.

    5. flaT is now layered. Once you were the boss. Now there are multiple bosses. Employees who once reported to you now report to someone else, and its just not the same for them. This may be the toughest issue youll face. Reporting structures naturally change as a business grows, and at some point layers of authority are inevitable. Be sensitive to the emotional impact reporting to someone other than you will create for key employees. Its a tough line to straddle, but do your best to maintain the connection you once had without undermining an employees new boss. Remember, layers inevitably create barriers, so how you operate within and through those layers means everything to your best employees.

You start a business and you hire a key

    employee. Shes awesome. You

    hire another key employee.

Hes awesome. Together the three of you

    create an unstoppable

team. Until one of them leaves

    Sometimes great employees

    leave because you cant afford

to pay them more and they can earn more

somewhere else. Unfortunately, that happens. Often, though,

great employees leave because your company

    has changedand they dont

So many common ailments and illnesses can be prevented and possibly even cured with an increased intake of healthy water. Headaches, hypertension, back pain, arthritis, ulcers, asthma, morning sickness and fatigue can all benefit and in many cases be prevented by regulating the bodys natural fluid levels. Recently there has been a dramatic swing in medical theory and a long overdue realization about healing. The best way to prevent, treat and in many cases cure illness is to give our body the right tools and let it go to work. With the proper intake of healthy water, the right minerals and nutrients our body can overcome almost anything.

Our brain is over 75% water and when it detects a shortage of available fluids it implements a water rationing process by producing histamines, causing pain and fatigue. This natural process is meant to slow us down and conserve water. Histamines are released as a warning signal that something is wrong. When we take antihistamines or analgesic medicines

like acetaminophen or ibuprofen we simply turn off the signal and often allow the problem to progress. Two cups of water and a 20 minute break will overcome most common headache pain.

Back pain is also most often the result of a deficiency in body fluid levels. The disks in our back are in reality little hydraulic shock absorbers. These disks are made up of an outer shell filled with fluid, primarily water. A properly hydrated disk creates a cushion that absorbs the shock of physical activity and supports the weight of the upper body. These discs are self hydrating as long as there is adequate fluid levels and regular movement. Movement that compresses and releases pressure on the disc creates a suction that allows water to be pulled inside the disc keeping it fully hydrated.

Hypertension is very often a result of the body adjusting to blood volume loss, according to Dr. Batmanghelidj, MD, a recognized expert on natural and preventive treatments. The most common cause of lower blood volume is dehydration. Since our blood is more than 83% water its total volume is heavily affected by the level of available water in our body. When the body detects a loss of blood volume it closes off less active capillary beds in order to maintain proper blood flow to the more active areas.

Arthritis pain and stiffness is now understood to be initially a result of increased friction and swelling in the bone joints. Water is what our body uses to lubricate these joints. When our water levels are reduced there is increased friction between the cartilage surfaces resulting in swelling, stiffness and pain.

Morning sickness is a direct result of dehydration. The fetus lives in a world of water which the body prioritizes above all other needs. Throughout the night, which is the longest period without water intake, the uterus draws water from the mothers system to maintain its internal fluid levels and those of the fetus. In the morning the mother awakens in a state of dehydration, nausea and fatigue, hence the term morning sickness. A common hang over produces the same symptoms and has essentially the same cause, dehydration only with a much less noble purpose. Alcohol is a very strong diuretic and causes the body to excrete water often leading to advanced dehydration. Both of these common ailments can be prevented by drinking plenty of water before and throughout the night.

    The vivid

    Scenery

We are at the time of year when shorts with slippers or crocks are the main items of the prevailing dress code, and nothing else matters as long as you have your iPod fully charged, stacked with tunes, and there's enough petrol in the tank for late night cruising. Though things are not all butterflies and rainbows as stated above, we get to stay long hours at work, some of us are still trapped in suits and ties, till late at night having Chinese while being jammed in a pile of papers and beeping phones. Our life style is getting extremely hectic and overwhelming at this day and age, though, it's crucial to keep in mind the unpleasant consequences of pressure and try to work out a career/life balance, and get some priorities straight. I mean it's great to be a workaholic and everything, and it pays off, but it's important not to let it get you, it's really essential not to let the small things take over your life, it really is important to get priorities straight and have a solid purpose, yet above all; it's really important to have fun along the wayin my humble opinion, it's the only way to guarantee possessing a steep development curve!

Okay, back to the main theme, what I'm really pointing here is summer is the season that symbolizes the significance of having a child-like fun, to enjoy the simple, innocent and trouble-free pleasures in life and indulge, like; taking a walk with a significant other, enjoying some ice cream, cupcakes, bottom line is; there's always a choice, it's up to you to get caught up in the hamster wheel, or to regularly disconnect and look through things, dont always be

fooled by the faade of the scene, there are always vibrant view beyond the exterior, only when you know where to look!

So, the wise thing to do now is to walk the talk and go get some tranquility! See you all.

The summer heat is already here, and the first thing that springs into mind is the quaint school days, when summer was the season of nothing but sheer fun, serene beaches, and enchanting getaways with family and friends. It still is actually, but with the enormously demanding life we lead nowadays, it's really hard to kick back and enjoy the ambiance, unless you plan it that way.

  • REVERsE ENGINEER pROCEssEsEven if youve got things patented, trademarked or cloaked in multiple layers of secrecy, your competitors can see what you deliver, what you get done and the core pieces of how you do it. Even if they cant duplicate what you do exactly, they can get close enough to hurt you or take it to the next level and render your processes obsolete.

BRAVE CULTUREs ARE sUsTAINABLE All music is made from the same 12 notes. All culture is made from the same five components: behaviors, relationships, attitudes, values and environment and some ways to put this into practice across interviewing, due diligence, and engaging with the culture. Its the way those notes or components are put together that makes things sing.

In sustainable, winning cultures, behaviors are inextricably linked to relationships, informed by attitudes, built on a rock-solid base of values, and completely appropriate for the environment in which the organization chooses to operate.

Its the context that makes it so hard to duplicate a winning culture. Because every organizations environment is different, matching someone elses behaviors, relationships, attitudes, and values will not produce the same culture.

ATTITUDE Is THE pIVOT pOINTAs you work to evolve your culture, focus on attitudes. Theres a strong case to be made that IBMs near death experience was a result of a bad attitude. It thought it was the best. It thought its customers needed it more than it needed its customers. It stopped being flexible. The big thing Lou Gerstner did was reversing that attitude. Behaviors and relationships followed.

More recently, weve seen the same thing at Hewlett-Packard. It started believing its own myths and lost the congruence between strategy and posture. Meg Whitman can be successful only if she is able to change the organizations attitude.

Of course, I am oversimplifying things. Few things are as simple as we hope they are. Of course you have to be in touch with your environment. Of course you have to make sure your values are current. Of course people and communication matter. Of course its all theoretical gibberish until someone actually does something that impacts someone else. Attitude is not the only lever. But its generally the lever to pull first, using that choice or change to influence the others.

the Culture and Your New Colleagues in the Right ContextBe careful about how you engage with the organizations existing business context and culture. Crossing the need for change based on the context and the cultural readiness for change can help you decide whether to Assimilate, Converge and Evolve (fast or slow), or Shock.

"Given enough time and money, your competitors

    youve got working for you.

They can hire away some of

    d's relationship guide

The Desire: FreedomEven emotionally healthy men want assurance that their identities will stay put after theyve become half a happy couple. By making it clear that you dont expect your guy to change, hell feel like you truly understand him but dont threaten his sense of self, says Dan Neuharth, PhD, author of Secrets You Keep from Yourself. That leaves him feeling on sturdy enough ground to commit. The following moves let him know youre no ball and chain.

Blow him off. Men hate the idea of being tied down socially, so turn down occasional plans. Hell not only feel easier and open up more around you, but hell also start to wonder what youre doing and pursue you more.

Share your own fears. Guys often hold back because they think most chicks are baby-hungry ring-hunters. So if you feel nervous about committing, let him know. Hell be reassured that youre navigating new waters too, not trying to trap him.

Respect his privacy. A physical space thats totally his is a huge symbol of independence to a man. Signal that you respect that by, say, staying out of desk drawers and not peeking at his caller ID when his phone rings.

The Desire: To ShineMaybe hes cocky, but hes still insecure. Trust us, guys need to know that theyre respected and appreciated. When being around you increases a guys esteem, both internally and in the eyes of others, hell naturally want to be attached to you, says Dr. Dobransky.

Here, things that show your high value and nudge him toward love. Make him happier. Go to stupid movies. Drag him out when hes crabby. If you can

keep things light, even during stressful times, youll become indispensable.

Be a social butterfly. Guys are good at left-brain stuff, like sales and sports, but

can get awkward when it comes to social graces. Take the lead and charm the people you meet and hell be extra grateful to have you.

But he may take credit for making those new friends...whatever.

Act like the grand prize. Seeing you through other peoples eyes reminds him how special

you are. Invite him to an event where youll

excel (whether its karaoke or a

fun run), or have him stand between

you and another man you think is getting too close at a

    bar.

The Desire: ComfortFalling in love is a process of developing attachment, which happens when oxytocin floods the brain, says Alan Hirsch, MD, neurological director of the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation. You can unleash those love hormones by making him feel like you two just fit. When hes so comfortable with you that he stops thinking about your relationship

and simply enjoys it, hell find himself nudged into love territory. Take these tips.

Let him see you primp. Grooming in front of him enhances intimacy because its something other guys dont get to

witness. Just keep it goddess-like Cook together. Being around food spikes oxytocin levels in

males. The more often you prep dinner deux, the more hell associate you with the good feelings he gets from eating it.

Stock your pad. When buying groceries you dont have a preference on, get a brand he uses. Hell subconsciously feel at home at your

place. Sleep with him. Catnap near him or let yourself doze off in his arms so he sees you in your most trusting, completely

    relaxed state.

"But even if you don't have much control over the hours you have to work, you can ask yourself: In what other ways am I bringing greater enjoyment into my life?" Brooks says. "Focus your time and attention on things you can control."

Here are five ways to bring a little more balance to your daily routine:1. Build downtime into your schedule. When you plan your week, make it a point to schedule time with your family and friends and activities that help you recharge.

If a date night with your spouse or a softball game with friends is on your calendar, you'll have something to look forward to and an extra incentive to manage your time well so you don't have to cancel.Michael Neithardt, an actor and television commercial producer in New York City, wakes up three hours before he has to leave for work so he can go for a run and spend some time with his wife and baby.

"A lot of my friends tend to wake up, shower, and go straight to work. And they often complain about having no time to do anything," he tells WebMD in an e-mail. "I find that if I can get those three hours in the morning, I have a more productive and peaceful workday. I can sure tell the difference when I don't."

    2. Drop activities that sap your time or energy. You may even be able to leave work earlier if you make a conscious effort to limit the time you spend on the web and social media sites, making personal calls, or checking your bank balance. "We often get sucked into these habits that are making us much less efficient without realizing it," Stack says.

    3. Rethink your errands.Consider whether you can outsource any of your time-consuming household chores or errands.

Could you order your groceries online and have them delivered? Hire a kid down the street to mow your lawn? Have your dry cleaning picked up and dropped off at your home or office? Order your stamps online so you don't have to go to the post office? Even if you're on a tight budget, you may discover that the time

you'll save will make it worth it.

Stack also suggests trading services with friends. Offer to do tasks that you enjoy or that you were planning to do anyway."You could exchange gardening services for babysitting services," Stack says. "If you like to cook, you could prepare and freeze a couple of meals and give them to a friend in exchange for wrapping your holiday gifts."

    4. Get moving. It's hard to make time for exercise when you have a jam-packed schedule, but experts say that it may ultimately help you get more done by boosting your energy level and ability to concentrate.

Samantha Harris, a lawyer who works for a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia, says she recently started sneaking in a trip to the gym two or three mornings a week before her family wakes up. "It's been a real boost in terms of the way I feel for the rest of the day," she says. "I feel like my head is clearer and I've had a little time to myself."

    5. Remember that a little relaxation goes a long way.Don't get overwhelmed by assuming that you need to make big changes to bring more balance to your life. Brooks recommends setting realistic goals, like trying to leave the office earlier one night per week.

KERSSyStEmKinetic energy recovery systemWe're sure there isn't an f1 fan out there who hasn't heard about the revolutionary kinetic energy recovery system. Some are for it, some are against it, but the main thing is that Kers will be a big part of formula 1 in the future. Why? Well, Max Mosley put it quite eloquently earlier.

It is necessary to demonstrate to society that F1 is doing something useful, and it is essential for F1 teams to be able to demonstrate to major companies that they are able to really make a contribution. The F1 racing engine is fully developed; there is no need to develop it any further. Instead, we will allow manufacturers to spend money on technology that is really useful. The first part of that is the KERS device, which we are introducing in 2009. The basics of the KERS technology is this: it stores the kinetic energy of a moving vehicle when braking and then releases it back into the car's drive train during acceleration. It sounds easy, but, of course, it's not.

Of the three types of KERS units mechanical, electrical and hydraulic Formula 1 teams have decided to go for the mechanic one. The reasons behind this choice are quite logical: less weight, better weight distribution, increased power boost and improved fuel economy.

The system consists of a flywheel connected by a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to the drivetrain. Moving the CVT towards a gear ratio that would speed the flywheel up enables it to store energy, while moving towards a ratio that would slow it down allows it to release energy. A hydraulic clutch separates the drive if the flywheels revs exceed the systems limits.

The components within each variator include an input disc and an opposing output disc. Each disc is formed so that the gap between the discs creates a toroidal cavity. There are two or three rollers inside each cavity, depending on torque capacity, which are positioned so that the outer edge of each roller is in contact with the toroidal surfaces of the input and output discs. As the input disc rotates, power is transferred via the rollers to the output disc, which rotates in the opposite direction to the input disc.

The angle of the roller determines the ratio of the CVT, so any change in the angle of the roller results in a change in the ratio. So, with the roller at a small radius (near the centre) on the input disc and at a large radius (near the edge) on the output disc the CVT produces a low ratio. Moving the roller across the discs to a large radius at the input disc and corresponding low radius at the output produces the high ratio, and provides the full ratio sweep in a smooth, continuous manner.

The hydraulic system doesn't differ too much from the mechanical one, only it uses a pressurized hydraulic fluid to carry the kinetic energy obtained after braking into an accumulator and then back into the car's drive train. However, such a system has the main disadvantage of using larger and bigger (therefore heavier) hydraulic accumulators, making it totally unsuitable for an F1 car.

And then there is the electrical KERS, which uses batteries or capacitors to store the kinetic energy obtained after braking, then release it back into the drivetrain through a motor or flywheel. The only problem with this system is that it's prone

to battery fires or electric shocks. Such an incident occurred during an on-track testing of the unit by

BMW Sauber earlier this year, when a mechanic had to be taken to the hospital after touching the KERS-

powered car previously taken out to do some laps by

    Christian Klien.

  • It is one of the few ball games that does not require a standardized playing area. Instead, the game is played on golf "courses", each of which features a unique design, although courses typically consist of either nine or 18 holes. Golf is defined, in the rules of golf, as "playing a ball with a club from the teeing ground into the hole by a stroke or successive strokes in accordance with the Rules."

Golf competition is generally played for the lowest number of strokes by an individual, known simply as stroke play, or the lowest score on the most individual holes during a complete round by an individual or team, known as match play.

While the modern game of golf originated in 15th century Scotland, the game's ancient origins are unclear and much debated. Some historians trace the sport back to the Roman game of paganica, in which participants used a bent stick to hit a stuffed leather ball. One theory asserts that paganica spread throughout Europe as the Romans conquered most of the continent, during the first century BC, and eventually evolved into the modern game. Others cite chuiwan ("chui" means striking and "wan" means small ball) as the progenitor, a Chinese game played between the eighth and 14th centuries. A Ming Dynasty scroll dating back to 1368 entitled "The Autumn Banquet" shows a member of the Chinese Imperial court swinging what appears to be a golf club at a small ball with the aim of sinking it into a hole. The game is thought to have been introduced into Europe during the middle Ages. Another early game that resembled modern golf was known as cambuca in England and chambot in France. This game was, in turn, exported to the Low Countries, Germany, and England (where it was called pall-mall, pronounced pell mell). Some observers, however, believe that golf descended from the Persian game, chaugn. In addition, kolven (a game involving a ball and curved bats) was played annually in Loenen, Netherlands, beginning in 1297, to commemorate the capture of the assassin of Floris V, a year earlier.

The modern game originated in Scotland, where the first written record of golf is James II's banning of the game in 1457, as an unwelcome distraction to learning archery.[7] To many golfers, theOld Course at St Andrews, a links course dating

to before 1574, is considered to be a site of pilgrimage. Golf is documented as being played on Musselburgh Links, East Lothian, Scotland as early as 2 March 1672, which is certified as the oldest golf course in the world by Guinness World Records. The oldest surviving rules of golf were compiled in March 1744 for the Company of Gentlemen Golfers, later renamed The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, which was played at Leith, Scotland.[11] The world's oldest golf tournament in existence, and golf's first major, isThe Open Championship, which was first played on 17 October 1860 at Prestwick Golf Club, in Ayrshire, Scotland.

A golf course consists of a series of holes, each with a teeing ground that is set off by two markers showing the bounds of the legal tee area, fairway, rough and other hazards, and the putting green surrounded by the fringe with the pin (normally a flagstick) and cup.

The levels of grass are varied to increase difficulty, or to allow for putting in the case of the green. While many holes are designed with a direct line-of-sight from the teeing area to the green, some holes may bend either to the left or to the right. This is commonly called a "dogleg", in reference to a dog's knee. The hole is called a "dogleg left" if the hole angles leftwards and "dogleg right" if it bends right. Sometimes, a hole's direction may bend twice; this is called a "double dogleg".

A typical golf course consists of 18 holes, but nine-hole courses are common and can be played twice through for a full round of 18 holes.

Early Scottish golf courses were primarily laid out on links land, soil-covered sand dunes directly inland from beaches. This gave rise to the term "golf links", particularly applied to seaside courses and those built on naturally sandy soil inland.

The first 18-hole golf course in the United States was located on a sheep farm in Downers Grove, Illinois, in 1892. The course is still situated there today.

    d's travels

Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece. Athens dominates the Attica region and is one of the world's oldest cities, as its recorded history spans around 3,400 years. Classical Athens was a powerful city-state. A centre for the arts, learning and philosophy, home of Plato's Academy and Aristotle's Lyceum, it is widely referred to as the cradle of Western civilization and the birthplace of democracy, largely due to the impact of its cultural and political achievements during the 5th and 4th centuries BC on the rest of the then known European continent. The heritage of the classical era is still evident in the city, represented by a number of ancient monuments and works of art. The city also retains a vast variety of Roman and Byzantine monuments, as well as a smaller number of remaining Ottoman monuments projecting the city's long history across the centuries.

Must Go Places: Acropolis: The Acropolis is the one historical site you can't miss. You can take a tour or wander up there yourself to see and enjoy one of the greatest archaeological sites. Getting to the Acropolis is easy and more pleasant than ever because the large avenues which border the south and west of the site have been turned into giant pedestrian streets with cafes and restaurants and the walk is quite pleasant. From the Plaka and Monastiraki side it has always been a car-less, enjoyable walks and be amazed by the beautiful historic site.

ParthenonIt is the most famous surviving building of Ancient Greece, and one of the most famous buildings in the world. The Parthenon has stood for nearly 2,500 years and was built to give thanks to Athena, the city's patron goddess, for the salvation of Athens and Greece in the Persian Wars. The building was officially called the Temple of Athena the Virgin; "Parthenon" comes from the Greek word Parthenos, "virgin." Throughout its long life, the Parthenon has functioned most importantly as a Greek temple, but has also been a treasury, a fortress, a church, and a mosque. Today, it is one of the most recognizable icons and popular tourist attractions in the world.

National Archaeological Museum The National Archaeological Museum is the largest and most important museum in all of Greece. It has an exceptional collection of artifacts from the Neolithic age to the late Antiquity. The museum was created in the late 19th century and combined collections that were previously spread out over the city. It has largest collection of prehistoric and sculptors collections.

  • Happy birthday Zeina

  • One of the untold stories of the early sports car era is that most of the worlds high-end models were coming straight out of a Europe but selling only in America. Not that the Europeans didnt love their sports cars as much as anyone else, but America was the better market for these expensive toys, and the Porsche 356 line was absolutely huge in the states for a few years.

The Porsche 356 was in production from 1948 until 1965 and remains one of the Porsches most popular models. The most popular from the 356 era was the 1956 model the Type 1 (T1) 356A Speedster roadster.

Realistically, there werent that many changes in the 1956 model from previous years just a few nips, tucks and improvements. However, it was the culmination of the entire genre built into one car that really made a lasting impression on any and everyone who owned a 1956 Porsche Speedster.

From the first appearance at the Geneva Motor Show in 1949, it was clear that Ferdinand Porsche's model 356 was going to be a game-changer in terms of automobiles. With a sleek almost Beetle-like body, aluminum fastback coachwork, a pressed-steel chassis, and the powerful engine behind the rear axle of the automobile, the 356 was unique in every aspect.

For the first few years in America, the Porsche 356 was doing extremely well. However, after Austin-Healey and Triumph started selling equally impressive cars for a lot less money, the 356 was taking a hit. By 1954, Porsches numbers were dwindling and the

company needed a new model boasting more features to justify the price tag and to get people interested in the line again.

The Speedster 356 appeared on the scene that year and started to turn heads due to its sporty look, powerful engine and competitive cost. The open-top convertible model was also something that

Americans loved, especially the California market.

There was also the James Dean and Steve McQueen factor happening with auto sales at the time. Practically everyone embraced the racing culture, and the 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster was suitable for racing in every way, including its easy-to-handle 4-speed transmission, wide wheelbase, removable windscreen, and improved steering features.

The 1956 model did extremely well in America, selling over 1,000 cars. In comparison to todays numbers, selling only over a thousand vehicles doesnt seem like a tall order. But for the time, it was absolutely huge. Sales numbers would dramatically drop after the Convertible D was released in 1958 and Porsche would never regain the magic of its 56 model.

Location: 1 THAWRA SQUARE, DOKKI, CAIRO

    speciaLty: ITALIAN CUISINE

Dcor:The place is divided into an outdoor area and a very neat indoors area. The ambiance, colors used, table arrangement is very subtle, the lighting is relaxing, and well thought out. The display of some exquisite Porsche design products, model cars, and posters add a character to the place.

tHe Dome magazines favorites:we went through the whole menu, from Salads, Appetizers, to Desserts. The menu diversity is moderate, though the quality is above average. Our favorites include; Sea Food Risotto; the herbs used and cheese were mouth watering. Also the P'75 salad which is our absolute favorite could be one of the best in town.

our rate:All in all, it's above average, hospitality and atmosphere is really warm and cozy, we like it.

    * loveGeminis are fun loving creatures and do not like to be bonded in anything. They like to enjoy life and experience everything that life has to offer. They are most likely to fall in love with their best friends because they share similar interests and compatibility. They are somewhat fickle minded and do not really have a tendency to stick to something for a long time. They are very humorous and outgoing and its hardly possible that their partners will get bored in their company. Geminis love to gossip and enjoy being with someone who can talk for long hours. They love flirting and enjoy the process of dating.

    * WoRkGemini tends to disperse their energy on different tasks and not just focus on one thing thus leaving a trail of unfinished projects in their wake. If they were to focus their energy in one place, their cleverness and intelligence would allow them to complete their project with success and creativity. Gemini makes an excellent manager; they can motivate a team with their enthusiasm and vitality. They also make excellent salespeople because their ease of communication allows them to be clever and make a comeback to anything a person says. They can persuade and manipulate very well. They can easily justify any move they make and explain any action.

you Geminis are curious, talkative, versatile and mentally active. your mind can bounce around from one topic to another with great ease, making you the champion of cocktail party chatter and lighthearted social encounters. others will think that you are fun to be with, but your ability to change with the changing winds can also lead others to see you as shallow.your motto might be "a rolling stone gathers no moss." you are the eternally youthful child, no matter your chronological age. a razor-sharp wit can have you verbally dueling with the very best of opponents, who moments later are your best of friends. as you fly through life, don't forget to take time to smell the flowers.some might say you are an entanglement of paradoxes, but the truth is that you have an easy acceptance of opposites. your world is one of duality. you can like this and that, one thing and its opposite. it's like you see your world through a radio and you can tune experiences and points of view in and out as your interests change.

  • Librasept. 23 - oct. 22 The Libra native likes to go away with a special someone for a day even if that special someone is just a household pet. An ideal day trip is a short jaunt to an antique market or to a beach side village that has plenty of cafes. Libras do not like to swim or exercise much, but they do enjoy a nice leisurely stroll through the woods. This sign loves beauty so taking a long hike up a hill to enjoy a romantic and panoramic view is their idea of a wonderful day trip.

taurus apr. 20 may 20 Taurus natives are ruled by Earth. They like to camp, but in safe areas that also include other families. Bulls prefer to travel in large groups and always include loved ones in their entourage. They prefer vacation packages and tour groups because they hate spontaneity and indecision. They love strolling, sight-seeing and the absolute convenience of staying in a hotel in a theme park.

scorpio oct. 23 - nov. 21 Scorpios are ruled by the Water element, so they are happiest cruising the waters in a sailboat, motorboat, or even just in a canoe. This is a thrifty sign that enjoys camping out and does not really like splurging on hotels unless they are thinking of seducing someone. The Scorpion loves the chance to meet new people so they like to vacation alone. An ideal vacation for a Scorpio is a cross country one by bus, car, or motorcycle. Scorpios love to eat exotic and spicy foods and really enjoy taking specialty cooking courses.

sagittarius nov. 22 - Dec. 21 The more exotic and challenging the vacation is the happier they are. They love hiking through the woods and climbing mountains. They also enjoy horseback riding and water sports, such as water skiing and parasailing. Vacationing near water is ideal but even better for the Archer is a city beach that is within walking distance of great restaurants and excellent shopping. Cave exploration and deep sea diving also appeal to this adventurous and brave sign.

cancer June 22 - JuLy 22 Cancers prefer to go to the ocean in tourist towns where there are plenty to see and do.. This sometimes materialistic sign also enjoys shopping and is happiest being pampered at a spa or window shopping. They also enjoy cruises, and jaunts through the city in antique horse-drawn carriages.Cancers are rock hounds and enjoy collecting shells on the beach. Yet another past time that they might find enjoyable is using a metal detector to find treasures on the beach.

capricorn Dec. 22 - Jan. 20 This sign does not like to travel too far from home. They prefer short day excursions. They like to camp, but only if they have a recreational vehicle or camper on hand. Capricorns enjoy art and antiques so an ideal short trip for is a country to an antique market to find treasures that they can fix up later and sell. Staying in a spa located in a mountainous or beachside region is also very gratifying for the Goat who loves to be pampered from head to toe.

aquariusJan. 21 - feb. 19Aquarian natives are happiest in more sophisticated urban locales, although they also like a little bit of adventure. An ideal summer vacation for an Aquarian would be to visit a museum in a big city and then dance the night away in a popular night club. They also love music and will travel a long way to attend a performance or concert. Aquarians also enjoy hiking in the forests and collecting mushrooms and herbs.

virgo aug. 23 - sept. 22 Virgos like short & well planned vacations. They prefer to drive to their holiday destinations and many of them do not want to take a vacation at all unless they are somehow combining business with pleasure. They are not that comfortable in a hotel unless it is a five star outfit. They like cities with big museums and art galleries. They treasure their privacy and enjoy a long walk alone on a beach or seeing a movie alone..

pisces feb. 20 - mar. 20Pisces love the wildness of wide-open seas as much as they love the peaceful trickling of a forest stream. This sign will camp if they have to, but they are the most comfortable staying in a hotel room or bed and breakfast with creature comforts such as working washrooms and cable television. Wherever they stay the food must be excellent. Even though they prefer to stay in a city or small town, they are happiest on vacation when they do not have to talk a lot or deal with a lot of people.

gemini may 22 - June 21 Gemini likes to stroll through city streets, browse through markets, and meet as many strangers as possible. They have the most fun in beach side or lake side resorts that can boast a healthy arts scene and many cafes. They also enjoy hiking through parks and swimming. A long drive through the country just looking at the scenery is very therapeutic and relaxing for them. A Gemini also likes learning and spiritual retreats and can gain a lot from going to a camp that specializes in Yoga or a craft, such as making pottery.

Leo JuLy 23 - aug. 22 Adventurous Leos love to travel and they will beg, borrow, or steal to attend a music concert, rave or happening no matter where it is in the world. They love to sunbathe by the beach, but as the heat really appeals to them, you will also find a Leo hiking through the desert in hot temperatures just for fun. Singing songs by a campfire is also very appealing to them. Lions also really enjoy hunting and fishing as it brings out the predator in them.

aries MAR. 21 - APR. 20 Aries natives are Fire signs and have plenty of energy to burn, so a vacation where they can work out a bit is a good idea. They also prefer to travel in style rather than camp, so a night or two in a cozy bed and breakfast near a lake or sea is preferable to other types of vacation. They also enjoy bungee jumping, rock climbing, and floating far above the crowds in a hot air balloon.
