Donald J. Lancor, 62, ofBrushton, passed awayunexpectedly Monday, April28, 2014 at the Alice HydeMedical Center in Malone.

Born in Watertown onOctober 2, 1951, he was theson of John F. and Sally A.Simmons Lancor. Hegraduated from Tupper LakeHigh School in 1969.

In May of 1971 he wasunited in marriage to theformer Linda Lamica. Themarriage ended in divorceand she passed away onNovember 19, 2008. OnDecember 24, 1988 he wasunited in marriage to theformer Nancy L. Cosmos inSt. Croix. The marriage endedin separation.

Donald was a linemanfor the InternationalBrotherhood of ElectricalWorkers Union. He hadworked in Syracuse,California, Wyoming,Montana, Hawaii and St.Croix. He retired in 2005.

He loved his career inelectrical work. He had a greatlove of history especiallyWorld War II. He also lovedtravel, especially to Irelandand enjoyed visiting manypubs throughout the country.

Grand Island, FL, a long timecompanion, Michelle Hodginof Ventura CA, one son, JaredLancor of Plattsburgh, onebrother and sister-in-law,Danny and Debra Lancor ofTupper Lake, and severalnieces and nephews.

He was predeceased byhis father.

There ware no callinghours or funeral services.Burial will be in St. FrancisCemetery in Harrisville.

Donations may bemade in his memory to eitherthe Brushton-Moira Mealson Wheels Program or to theBrushton-Moira VolunteerFire and Rescue Department.

Rena M. (Duplantie)LaPradd-Drew, 90, ofPiercefield, recently of MercyLiving Center in Tupper Lakepassed away on Wednesday,April 30, 2014 with family byher side. Rena resided atMercy Living Center for thepast two years.

Born on February 9,1924 in Tupper Lake, she wasthe daughter of Rene andLena (Derosia) Duplantie.

She married WilliamLaPradd of Piercefield onNovember 26, 1943. Mr.LaPradd died on November24, 1969 due to an automobileaccident at the age of 46.

She later marriedHarland (Peanut) Drew onSeptember 2, 1971. Mr. Drewdied on July 20, 1996.

She was preceded indeath by her mom and dad,stepfather Jacques Chaisson,husbands, sister BeatriceDuplantie (Rovito-Provo),brothers, Raymond andEdmund Duplantie, one son-in-law Paul Reandeau andone great-grandson AdamChristopher Sarazen.

Survivors includeRena’s daughters, ElaineSarazen and her husbandLeo, and Patricia Reandeau,of Piercefield. Also, threegrandchildren; Gina Sarazenof Piercefield, PaulaReandeau Sheldon ofTupper Lake and William(Bill) Sarazen of Peru, NY;great-grandchildren; DanielDewyea and Brooke Dewyeaof Piercefield, Amber Williamsof Albany, Katie Reandeau ofTupper Lake, Alex andLindsay Sarazen of Peru;three step children; Donna(Colyn) Webber, theirdaughter Marni Webber,Diane (Bernard) Trombleyand sons Bernard andNathan, Franklin Drew,daughters, Tracy Kennedyand Darcy Ladue; step greatgrandchildren; Monica,Deseree Kennedy, Shawn,Travis, Ashley Ladue,Stephen Webber, Nicole

Alsosurviving is a sister, Janet(Chaisson) Hepworth andbrother-in-law Christopher ofSt. Catherine’s , Ontario, onesister-in-law Irene Duplantieof Tupper Lake, one specialniece Barbara RovitoRobinson who lived with heraunt for years and like adaughter from SaratogaSprings and many specialnieces and nephews whowere dear to her.

Rena was a member ofthe VFW ladies auxiliary formany years and alsoWomen’s Loyal Order of theMoose Club and PiercefieldLadies Auxiliary and wasnamed an honorary member.She was one of the firstmembers since 1950. Sheworked as a book keeper forher husband’s business’s.After retirement she spentmany winter months inFlorida with her husbandHarl. She was a loving momand grand mom.

A Mass of ChristianBurial will be celebrated onMonday, May 12 at 11am atSt. Alphonsus church. Burialwill follow in the parishcemetery.

In lieu of flowers,memorial donations may bemade to Mercy Living CenterRecreation Dept.
