Page 3 Tupper Lake Free Press Wednesday, May 7, 2014 obituaries Donald J. Lancor, 62, of Brushton, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. Born in Watertown on October 2, 1951, he was the son of John F. and Sally A. Simmons Lancor. He graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1969. In May of 1971 he was united in marriage to the former Linda Lamica. The marriage ended in divorce and she passed away on November 19, 2008. On December 24, 1988 he was united in marriage to the former Nancy L. Cosmos in St. Croix. The marriage ended in separation. Donald was a lineman for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union. He had worked in Syracuse, California, Wyoming, Montana, Hawaii and St. Croix. He retired in 2005. He loved his career in electrical work. He had a great love of history especially World War II. He also loved travel, especially to Ireland and enjoyed visiting many pubs throughout the country. He is survived by his mother, Sally Trudeau of Donald J. Lancor, 62 Grand Island, FL, a long time companion, Michelle Hodgin of Ventura CA, one son, Jared Lancor of Plattsburgh, one brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Debra Lancor of Tupper Lake, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father. There ware no calling hours or funeral services. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Harrisville. Donations may be made in his memory to either the Brushton-Moira Meals on Wheels Program or to the Brushton-Moira Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. Arrangements are through the Bruso- Desnoyers Funeral Service, Inc. of Malone. Rena M. (Duplantie) LaPradd-Drew, 90, of Piercefield, recently of Mercy Living Center in Tupper Lake passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 with family by her side. Rena resided at Mercy Living Center for the past two years. Born on February 9, 1924 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Rene and Lena (Derosia) Duplantie. She married William LaPradd of Piercefield on November 26, 1943. Mr. LaPradd died on November 24, 1969 due to an automobile accident at the age of 46. She later married Harland (Peanut) Drew on September 2, 1971. Mr. Drew died on July 20, 1996. She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, stepfather Jacques Chaisson, husbands, sister Beatrice Duplantie (Rovito-Provo), brothers, Raymond and Edmund Duplantie, one son- in-law Paul Reandeau and one great-grandson Adam Christopher Sarazen. Survivors include Rena’s daughters, Elaine Sarazen and her husband Leo, and Patricia Reandeau, of Piercefield. Also, three grandchildren; Gina Sarazen of Piercefield, Paula Reandeau Sheldon of Tupper Lake and William (Bill) Sarazen of Peru, NY; great-grandchildren; Daniel Dewyea and Brooke Dewyea of Piercefield, Amber Williams of Albany, Katie Reandeau of Tupper Lake, Alex and Lindsay Sarazen of Peru; three step children; Donna (Colyn) Webber, their daughter Marni Webber, Diane (Bernard) Trombley and sons Bernard and Nathan, Franklin Drew, daughters, Tracy Kennedy and Darcy Ladue; step great grandchildren; Monica, Deseree Kennedy, Shawn, Travis, Ashley Ladue, Stephen Webber, Nicole Rena LaPradd-Drew Wilcox, Brittney and Amber Trombley and Brandon Clement and a new great- great grandson. Also surviving is a sister, Janet (Chaisson) Hepworth and brother-in-law Christopher of St. Catherine’s , Ontario, one sister-in-law Irene Duplantie of Tupper Lake, one special niece Barbara Rovito Robinson who lived with her aunt for years and like a daughter from Saratoga Springs and many special nieces and nephews who were dear to her. Rena was a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary for many years and also Women’s Loyal Order of the Moose Club and Piercefield Ladies Auxiliary and was named an honorary member. She was one of the first members since 1950. She worked as a book keeper for her husband’s business’s. After retirement she spent many winter months in Florida with her husband Harl. She was a loving mom and grand mom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 12 at 11am at St. Alphonsus church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Donald J. Lancor, 62, ofBrushton, passed awayunexpectedly Monday, April28, 2014 at the Alice HydeMedical Center in Malone.

Born in Watertown onOctober 2, 1951, he was theson of John F. and Sally A.Simmons Lancor. Hegraduated from Tupper LakeHigh School in 1969.

In May of 1971 he wasunited in marriage to theformer Linda Lamica. Themarriage ended in divorceand she passed away onNovember 19, 2008. OnDecember 24, 1988 he wasunited in marriage to theformer Nancy L. Cosmos inSt. Croix. The marriage endedin separation.

Donald was a linemanfor the InternationalBrotherhood of ElectricalWorkers Union. He hadworked in Syracuse,California, Wyoming,Montana, Hawaii and St.Croix. He retired in 2005.

He loved his career inelectrical work. He had a greatlove of history especiallyWorld War II. He also lovedtravel, especially to Irelandand enjoyed visiting manypubs throughout the country.
