Exterior Composite Frame

Our 100% composite exterior frame requires no paint. Low expansion and contraction properties of composite help maintain the frame’s look and performance long passed other traditional materials. Composite frame may be painted to other colors to match existing trim if needed.

The Wrought Iron Series is available with a choice of four unique architectural glass texture options, each tempered for safety and selected to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the hand made wrought iron grilles. Utilizing a second sheet of tempered glass, the decorative glass piece is assembled into a double insulated glass unit.

DecoGlass Window frames are constructed using a cellular PVC composite frame material on the exterior and primed wood on the interior, which offers a superior construction method for extreme weather and high humidity and salt environments. The composite material is split, crack, and rot resistant, and does not absorb moisture. The decorative multi-layering of the insulated glass unit provides high energy efficiency, and offers obscurity and privacy while still admitting light.

Product Testing and Building Codes: Our standard-sized DecoGlass windows have been tested and approved for installation as individual fixed window unit. A design pressure (DP) rating of 60.8 positive and 81.3 psf negative was achieved. As per the Florida Building Code, 2001 Building, Table 1606.2B, DecoGlass Windows are suitable for 150MPH Wind Speed with Exposure B placed in Zone 5 and with a minimum effective wind area of 10.0 square feet. DecoGlass Window Product Warranty: DecoGlass Windows include a limited warranty for insulated glass unit failure. More information on this may be found on our website at www.GlassCraft.com

The exterior frame of DecoGlass Windows are maintenance free and will provide years of service. This exterior frame can be painted to match exterior trim options or left unpainted.

The interior of the window frame is primed and can be painted to match your interior trim color.

Installation: The window shall be fastened to framing lumber using the frame of the window with minimum No. 8 x 3” screws. The fasteners shall be spaced approximately 4 inches from each corner and approximately 16 inches on center along the perimeter of the window. All fasteners shall be long enough to penetrate a minimum of 11/2’’ inches into the wall-framing members.
