ROYAL TEAThe Royal Tea is back by popular demand. Sit under shade trees next to our lake enjoying some exotic herbal teas, and pastries, as you meet members of our village, entertainers, and her majesty Queen Elizabeth. The Royal Tea is an elegantly fun affair, a great event to bring the ladies, or an outing with your daughter. The Royal Tea is at 2:00 PM on Saturdays.

BEER TASTINGSTaste a variety of exotic beers. The Beer Tastings are always on the odd numbered days of faire at 3:00 PM, alternating Saturdays and Sundays each weekend.

WHISKEY TASTINGSEveryone’s favorite Scottish wench, Bonnie MacKinlay, entices you to “taste the Whiskey!” Whiskey Tasting is held at 3:00 PM, every day of faire.

WINE TASTINGS1:00 PM, every Saturday and Sunday of the RenFest. Reservations usually sell out in advance.

The Duelists perform exciting and dynamic sword fights as they entertain with ‘The Manly Art of the Epic Duel’ The Duelists even invite hecklers to do their worst, but beware; their wit is as sharp as their swords, and hecklers will be promptly dealt with in kind! The Louisiana Renaissance Faire uses a rating system similar to the movie industry. G – General Audiences – All Ages Admitted. PG – Parental Guidance Suggested. PG-13 – Parents Strongly Cautioned – Some Material May Be Inappropriate For Children Under 13. R – Restricted – Under 17 Requires Accompanying Parent Or Adult Guardian. If our performers see children in the audience, they usually will alert you to the show’s rating. You are responsible if you allow your children to stay. NC-17 – No One 17 and Under Admitted. Educational opportunities abound throughout the festival. Look for these interesting demonstrations you can see everyday of faire.Chandlers were craftsmen that made the main form of lighting things at night. Find out how and from what.Cooking - A demonstration cooking meat, vegetables, soups, over an open fire.Baking - An authentic bakers oven shows how bread was baked during the renaissance era, one loaf at a time.BlackSmithing - Visit the “Dragon Watch Forge” to see how various metals are crafted.Coopersmithing - learn how several pieces of wood can be assembled in such a way to hold liquids.Flax - the only Renaissance Flaxing demonstration in our country.

Rapier Fighting- Performed in front of the Dragon Watch Forge by the SCA.Weaving - The loom was how fabric was made. The color arrangement of thread determined the pattern.

Spinning Wheels & Drop Spindles - were the two most common tools for making thread and yarn (for fabric).Glass Blowing - one of our most entertaining demonstrations. See how sand is turned into works of art and functional tools.Falconry can be performed with any

raptor (hawk, eagle, owl, falcon, etc). It was a royal sport practiced by kings.Jousting - only those of noble birth were

allowed to compete in the joust. Demonstrated twice a day at our joust arena.And More - there are many other demonstrations happening about the village of Albright, on an various days at random times, including: music, singing, butter

churning, virtually any discussion with a villager of Albright can turn into an interesting learning moment. Discover many other demonstrations around the village of Albright, especially near the Dripping Dog Inn. The road “Village Commons” is a free demonstration area, nothing is for sale and no tip jars.

Three stages of music with a variety of music donated by area musicians in honor of our Armed Forces, to include everyone with an

armed occupation that requires they risk their life for you.
