Dr Arthur Kanev worked as an associate in general dentistry, full mouth reconstruction and outpatient surgery under general anesthesia for West Somerville Dental Associate. He was a member of the American Dental Association from 1972 to 1995. He was also an Associate in Cambridge Dental Associates for two years, before becoming the Director and partner at Gentle Dental Associates from 1987 to 1995.

Dr. Arthur Kanev is a survivor who stands as a symbol of strength for those who suffer from the biggest killer of our generation. He is a cancer survivor who had previously been diagnosed with four different types of cancer, all of which he treated on his own, without major surgery, drugs or radiation therapy. For six years he was a member of the City of Hope Cancer Foundation.

Dr. Arthur Kanev is someone who looks to leave a positive impact on the world in many ways. He has earned many awards throughout his professional life, some of which fall outside of his realm of dental and missionary work. He was the recipient of the award of Excellence and Merit from The Commonwealth of Massachusetts House of Representatives for tireless support in the fight against Cystic Fibrosis in 1994.
