Single-walled pumps have a compact, economic and robust design with a long, effective operating life and are easy to maintain.

Double-walled pumps are fitted with an external pump housing which allows the internal pump housing to be constructed from

extremely wear-resistant material. This also means a smaller part of the wall thickness is needed for mechanical strength and

a larger part is available for wear losses.

The outer housing also offers optimal security. In case of fracture of the internal pump housing, the outer housing prevents

flooding of the pump room.

The high-efficiency slow running hydraulic motor drives the cutter shaft and cutter directly. The high starting torque of the motor helps to prevent the cutter from getting stuck.For special purposes electric drives may also be used.

Dredging wheels can be used for different soil types, from peat and clay to sand and soft rock. The buckets can be

fitted with either smooth cutting edges or replaceable teeth of the pick point, chisel point or flared point variety. These

replaceable teeth are the same as those used on cutter heads. Standard dredging wheels are available in a power range

from 20 to 1,000kW and outputs of up to 10,000 tonnes/h.

Dredging wheels are supplied as complete units, including drive and ladder adapter.

They can be used on standard and customised wheel dredgers, or as replacements

for cutter or wheel installations on existing dredgers.

ANCHOR BOOM

FeaturesFeatures

T he operating process is simple: in rest the boom will always move back and away from the cutter

thus preventing the anchor hoisting wire from being dredged up. When the wire is tensioned, the

boom will move above the anchor to brea k it out. When the anchor is broken out of the soil, the wires

will automatically pull the boom forward to the new anchor position. After lowering the anchor, the

boom will fall back into the resting position. Optionally the anchor boom can be delivered with wing

winch, so that the boom can also be moved backwards with a load. LANG E provide a wide range

of anchor booms as well as design and manufacture any other sizes at clients' requirements.

Side wire blocks are designed to meet the rugged environments a cutter dredge normally encounters. The block is a balanced steel construction, which will always pivot to align to the direction of the side wire. Pivoting of the blocks is done with grease lubricated bronze bushes, which are easy to maintain or replace.

The cable sheave is a welded steel sheave with a hardened groove and a watertight encased bearing. The diameter of the sheave is choosen extra large, to reduce wear on the cable. Replaceable wear rings are fitted to guide the cable into the sheave.

SWIVEL BEND

LANGE swivel bends are a good option when working with a floating pipeline. The bend can adjust easily to the orientation of the CSD while this is making its dredge swings. The swivel bend will have less wear than a dredgehose and is much more flexible due to a much larger rotation angle.

For turning, the swivel bend is fitted with a large grease-lubricated bearing between the bends.To take on the forces exerted by the floating pipeline, a pivot with a self lubricating bush is fitted on the lower bend.This pivot also prevents any torque from reaching the swivel and its seals.The welded steel foundation will help to distribute the load from the floating pipeline to the hull of the dredge.The swivel bend is fitted with a replaceable rubber seal, which runs on a stainless steel contact surface.

Features

LANGE spuds are fitted with pin holes for tilting as well as to secure the spud when it is not in use. The lower point is made of solid steel to ensure sufficient strength during ground penetration. When the spud is hoisted, water may escape through two holes above the lower point.

On top, a hoisting eye allows for a crane to replace the spud easily. Standard spuds are made of grade A steel, but it is possible to order other material. Optionally, the spuds may be fitted with a dividing piece, so that it can be shipped in two sections.

A spud carrier pontoon is an extra pontoon that is attached to the spud side of the dredger and is typically hooked-up to the spud rings. It is of a similar deck height to the main pontoon but is narrower, as it only needs to carry the spud carriage and extension of the discharge pipe.

The carriage is a sturdy wagon on wheels which rides on tightly adjusted rails. One of the two spuds and its hydraulic hoist cylinder can be transferred from the dredger to the carriage, to become the working spud. The other remains in its location at the stern of the dredger, becoming the auxiliary spud.

LANGE dragheads are available as Universal draghead, California draghead and Active draghead.

Universal dragheads are best suited for general use in varying soil types.

A California draghead is recommended for compact and firmly packed soil types.

Active dragheads perform especially well in densely packed fine sands which are extremely hard to excavate with otherdragheads.

The soil is loosened by pressure water jets and by cutting teeth , both arranged over the whole width of the visor. The visor carrier includes a jet water connection to the side suction pipe. Jet water nozzles are arranged in a replaceable steel beam which is mounted below the hinge line. The effect of the pressure water can be adjusted to the dredging conditions by using different sets of nozzles

Bottom discharge systems permit rapid and complete discharge of soil via the hopper bottom. The two main types are bottom doors and conical bottom valves. They are an integral part of hopper design, normally installed when a vessel is built but also as retrofit. Besides these two main types, pre-dumping doors and self-suction channel doors can also be installed in the hopper bottom.

The Bow Coupling is especially suitable for use in high sea states and does not require a work boat for the

attachment of the line. The dredger can approach from any angle, reducing connection time. The flex facility

of the bow coupling also reduces loads on the line, improving operating life and reducing the need for

time-consuming repairs. All models are designed to take pipelines measuring between 450 and 1100mm

diameter, however they can be customised.
