Dress for Weather: Please help your child dress for the weather each day. Students go outside for recess unless it is raining. Phy. Ed. classes will also be outside on occasion. A jacket or sweatshirt might be needed for morning classes. Please continue to send your child with socks and tennis shoes, even on Music or STEM days. Flip-flops, crocs, or other loose-fitting/open shoes are not safe on the playground. Upcoming events:

Thursday, May 19 - 5:00-6:30 - Castle School Family Fun Night! Help bridge your child's school year learning to summer learning! Visit fun learning stations throughout school and learn fun ways to help stop the summer learning slump! There will be a free dinner of beef hot dogs and fun 'freebies'. If you haven't RSVP'd yet, please call us at 651-748-6700 to let us know you are coming! See the attached information sheet.

Friday, May 20 - Hat Day! Castle School will be supporting Tartan High School's Relay for Life

event. Students and staff are invited to wear a hat to school on Friday, May 20th. In return, we are asking students and staff to donate $1.00 which will support the American Cancer Society. Students can still wear a hat to school even if they don't bring a donation.

Friday, June 3 - Castle School Fun Run! Last week, your child brought home a collection envelope

to collect donations for the First Castle Fun Run! This fund-raiser will be used to support the purchase of new gym equipment, replace the basketball backboards on our playground and other recess equipment. There will be prizes and other fun events. See the attached information sheet with all the details!

Lost & Found: There are several student sweatshirts, jackets, hats, mittens, in our Lost & Found. Please remind your child to check for any lost items by June 9th. All left-over items will be donated. Library Books Please help your child return any library books to school by Friday, May 27th.
