    6.1 Brief Introduction

    Xk3190 DS2 supports NUM(123), English(ABC), Chinese (PINYIN)

and Sign to input the character, user can input the required

information through compound inputting. It is quite similar

to the popular cell phones T9 input method. Also Chinese PINYIN

has the function to index the words which have several different

pronunciations, can successfully raise the efficiency.

    6.2 Operation

When input VEHICLE NO, CARGO, COMPANY NAME etc, you can use

Number, English, Chinese PINYIN and Sign to mix input the

records, other parameters only support the number input. When

allow compound inputs, press [INPUT MODE] key to switch the

input way. Press [DELETE] key can delete the inputs character

    by character.

If the higher 4 or lower 4 bits for the XOR calibration is not

more than nine, you should add 30h and have it transmitted into

ASCII code. Otherwise, you should add 37h and have it

transmitted into alphabet ASCII code. For example, when the

higher 4 bits for the XOR calibration is 6, you can add 30h.

Obviously 36 will be transmitted as ASII code 6. Also, when

the higher 4 bits for the XOR calibration is B, you can add

37h, and 42h will be transmitted as ASCII code B

    8.2 CONNECT INDICATOR WITH SCOREBOARD

8.2.1 The scoreboard interface adopts 15pin D type socket (share with the serial communication interface. (Ref. Figure

    8-1, pin 9 and pin 10)

(This way was current loop output, and was the standard wire

    connection after products were finished)

8.2.2 The current loop signal of the scoreboard is 20mA, output

is binary serial, and the baud rate is 600. Each frame of

date has 11 bits, including one initial bit (0), 8 data bits

(the lower one precedes the higher), one sign bit and one

    stop bit.

8.2.3 A set of data is transmitted every 100ms, including 3

frames of data. (Ref. figure - 8-2).

Make sure that scoreboard and output leads are connected

correctly. If there is something wrong with connection,

damage will happen to output port of instrument and input

port of scoreboard, sometimes, the damage is so big to

influence the instrument and scoreboard. Only specially

provided connecting cable is allowed to be use.

9.2 Save and print the weighing record

9.2.1Indicator allows the truck number and the goods number

to 10 characters (1 Chinese take up 2 characters). It can save

1000 truck number and 1000 goods number maximum.

9.2.2The indicator saves and prints data simultaneously.

Namely, while saving each full set of records, it will print

them out in the meantime. (If the PRINT SET is enabled.)

9.2.3. There are three methods for saving data.

    i. Empty-truck saving fist, then full-truck saving. Or

full-truck saving first, then empty-truck saving. It

means a full set of records will be constituted through

    saving twice.

ii. When weighing a full-truck and having the knowledge of

the tare previously, saving once is enough to constitute

    a full set of records.

iii. When weighing the goods instead of the truck on-loaded,

saving once can usually constitute a full set of records.

    9.2.4. Saving and printing procedures

In weighing mode, pressSAVE PRINTindicator enters the below window:

NotePrint function cannot be put into use until properly set.

    1. The output lead of the printing interface in the indicator must

be connected to the printer accurately and only specially

provided printer connecting wire is allowed to be used.

Otherwise, the indicator output port and the printer input port

will be damaged, sometimes, the damage is so big that the

instrument and printer are got involved.

    2. Before using the printer, please make sure that the cable is

correctly connected at first, and then turn on instrument, in

the end, power on printer. After printing, power off printer

at first, then turn off instrument, in the end, takes off the

cable. If the order is reversed, damage may happen to instrument

    and printer.

    3. Please choose the recommended printers, in that there are a

great variety of printers with different performances and

    compatibilities.

    4. Printer must be connected to ground; otherwise, damage will

    happen to indicator and printer.

    5. Printer signal earth is prohibited to be connected with the

power earth, otherwise will seriously damage the indicator as

    well as the printer

In order to identify the three cases mentioned above, the

following assumptions are made in XK3190DS2 indicator:

1 If 0 is set for the truck number, it indicates that the

weighted is not a truck with goods, but the goods. Tare cannot

be set, it should be 0 only. The related truck number also cannot

be deleted, when indicator display or printing the truck number

    will be shown as ----------

2 If the indicating light of TARE is on, it means the tare has

been informed. Therefore, saving once could constitute a full

    set of records.

3 If the truck number is not zero, together with the indicating

light being off (In gross weight display mode), You need save

twice to constitute a full of set of records.

    1. The print setting for automatic saving is detailed

    in PRINT SETTING section.

    2. While automatic saving and printing, saving twice

    mode does not exist.

    3. When automatic saving, Vehicle number and goods

number saved are those set before.

    4. Three conditions listed below for the value of

    automatic saving:

. When the indicating light of TARE is on, the

current value will be saved into the set of

    records.

. When the indicating light of TARE is off, the

    indicator will automatically search its

memory for the right tare value corresponding

to the vehicle number and save it into the

    set of records.

. When the indicating light of TARE is off and

the tare value corresponding to the vehicle

number does not exist, 0 would be saved as

the tare value in the set of records.

9.2.6. If the vehicle numbers are more than 1000, the indicator

will display RCD FUL!, you should delete some Vehicle number

or all the records refer to 8.3. If the records surpass 1000,
