  • Who?Desmond Tutu is famous south african activist, who tries to solve the apartheid issue during the 1980s, which got him fame. He was born on the 7th of october 1931, in Klerksdorp. He moved to Johannesburg when he was 12 years old with his family.Desmond Tutu was one of the outspoken apartheid critics.The Profession that he chose was teaching, and after being a lecturer for few years, he pursued technology.First black african to become the Archbishop of Cape Town. Also, he became the first black bishop of Johannesburg.He worked to end South Africas strict racial segregation policy. Apartheid. Second South African to win Noble Peace Prize.

  • What?Tutu led a difficult crusade to support justice and racial conciliation in South Africa. His enthusiastic work was recognized in 1984, since he was awarded the Noble Peace Prize. After that, following a short holding back as the bishop of Johannesburg, he was elected as the Archbishop of Cape Town in 1986, he held this office for ten years until he retired in 1996.
