The Dublin Region Innovation Consortium

The Dublin Region Innovation Consortium (DRIC) is a collaboration between Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), IT Blanchardstown (ITB), ITT Dublin, IADT Dun Laoghaire and the National College of Ireland, funded by Enterprise Ireland to maximise the impact of research in each of the institutions. DIT Hothouse provides knowledge transfer and commercialisation support to all members of the consortium.

DRIC Innovation Showcase 2015

Promoting research collaboration, technology licensing and company spin-out opportunities

The Innovation Showcase is an exhibition of the latest research technologies emerging from the DRIC partner institutions across the areas of ICT, Engineering, Clean Tech and Food & Life Science. Researchers across the five institutions are exhibiting over 60 new technologies and R&D capabilities, and are on hand to discuss collaboration, licensing and company spin-out opportunities.

DRIC Inventor Competition Winners 2014

The Inventor Competition is open to all staff and students within the DRIC partner institutions. The competition, which is co-sponsored by leading European patent attorneys, Hanna, Moore & Curley, aims to promote, uncover and recognise innovation and creativity across a range of industrially focused research categories.

Below is a listing of the Inventor Competition winners for 2014, all of whom are exhibiting at the showcase.

Ministerial Guest of Honour

Minister for Skills, Research & Innovation, Mr. Damien English TD will officially open the Showcase and tour the exhibition to meet the researchers behind the innovations. The Minister will also be delivering a presentation to outline opportunities available for industry-academic R&D partnerships.
