To laugh often and much; to w in the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better w hether by a healthy child a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. P r o m tta . .xiCLitorsAfter seventy com puter breakdow ns, having to kick people out of the library fifty tim es, over a thousand complaints from other people about th e ir pictures and hours of mockery, we put together...this. Even though it may seem like a piece of cake, we actually did have to work a lot to get to w here w e’ve gotten. SO RESPECT US! This yearbook would be horrible if it w eren’t for us. But it would be ten tim es worse w ithout Ms. Shofner. Locked up in the library for hours every day, she w ent th rough the bits and pieces th a t we made and helped tu rn them into a cohesive work. We would like to th an k The Dwight School for giving us the opportunity to participate in a class specifically designed for yearbook, th u s giving us the chance to actually layout and create pages, not ju s t crop and measure pictures. We would like to th an k anyone who gave us any p ic tu res, especially Ms.Grayson and Ms. Knodell. A lso, thanks to the rest of the yearbook staff, we know that you did a lot to make th is happen.

Your E dito rs, Kris B artkus, Sumaya Jackson and Tiffany Yaraghi

Congratulations to the Class of 2004!!! This has been an incredible high school experience ■ and I couldn’t have asked for a better four years. Even though we are moving on and taking different paths in our lives, th a t doesn’t m ean th a t we will forget the amazing memories th a t we haved shared. Also to the editors of yearbook, Sumaya Jackson and Kris Bartkus you guys are awesome! The yearbook is amazing, and you guys are the best. The yearbook w ouldn’t have been possible w ithout Ms. Shofner, you put everything into the year book and it was so w orth it. I couldn’t have asked for a better yearbook!

- Tiffany

This is the best yearbook th a t I ’ve seen in the four years th a t I ’ve attended The Dwight School. Coming to class every day 2 , 4 , and 5 w asn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Chayanee working on her page for m o n th s , Kris trying to come up w ith strange captions, and Tiffany putting in everyone’s names. I hope th is yearbook w ith be som ething th a t I look at in years to come and ju s t be able to say, “Wow, look at w hat we did!” This yearbook w ouldn’t be possible if it w eren’t for Ms. Shofner and for th a t I th an k h e r a lot.

-Sumaya

big ups to ms. shofner, for allowing, through no little pain or in ternal conflict, to let my im agination ru n wild, and for coping w ith my pessimism and dark hum or, respect to the other editors and other people on the staff, most of whom probably th in k th a t i ’m crazy, bu t w ithout whom i w ouldn’t have anyone to act crazy in front of. a shoutout to everyone th a t w asn’t on my senior page w hen i made i t , bu t would be on it if i made it today, especially the entire'm ock tria ls team , most especially Gabija, w ithout whom making yearbook w ouldn’t have been as cheeky (get it., i t ’s a... pun! hah)., m uch ; love to ya. -Kris

After 9 years here you’d think I would have known everyone and everything that there is to know about life at school. Unfortunately I don’t, but I don’t think I’m alone. I come out of senior year without knowing where I’m gonna go, what I’m gonna be, or who I really am, but I do know that the next 4 years are about to be a real experience. I can,t wait, I want to go so bad, yet I don’t want to go at all. Life is odd that way, you think you know everything there is to know and then you realize you know nothing at all. Well, I can honestly say if there’s one thing I’ve learned in school its that I know nothing at all and now that I’m starting to know something, its apparent to me more than ever that I know

nothing of what’s to come. The only thing I know right now is that the people I’ve met and the things I’ve done and experienced are going to leave an impression that will stay

with me forever. Today I’m just a kid at the bottom of a hill, tomorrow I might be a man upon a hill, someday I might be that hill. Who knows, life’s out there and its mine for the taking, all I have to do now is take it.

When I moved to the United States I was so scared to leave my city, my country, my friends, my relatives

that I couldn’t even think that I would have lived two years in another country far from everything that I had

built. I was really concerned in starting a complete new life leaving my entire past life in Italy. I did it and I

am really happy to have done it. If I have been able to overcome all the difficulties I have found, it was for

my tenacity and for my determination to go ahead, not to stop and to change my life. I must admit that I

would never have been able to go so far without the full support of my family. They have provided me the

help that I needed.

In particular I am extremely grateful to my twin sister who patiently helped me to go through all the

challenges that everyday I have been required to overcome. I have to thank my friends in Italy that have

given me the energy to keep going and never give up. Not a day has gone without thinking of them all. I can

not express my gratitude to everyone just with this page, but they already know how much I care of them.

These years hove com e and gone so quickly. They have been filled with endless ups and downs, I have hod the most wonderful support and guidance that I could ask for,

For four years I hove been surrounded by tremendously caring and compassionate people, I would like to thank all my teachers for putting up with me and listening to my complaining all the time. I have to thank my tutor and friend Rachel. If there is one person I could attribute my academ ic success to, it would be you. You have also been such a wonderful friend and to me, you ore the sister I never hod. Thank you! I would also like to thank my Dwight friends: Henry-thank you for your love, jokes and trust,Sumy- You ore so beautiful in so many ways, you ore such a strong person. Shoiini- We might not read the some books (hehe) but our friendship is deeper than that (level -12). Jonese- we only met in 11th grade but we have more fun together than I could have ever imagined, keep that Latin flavor, Julia- we ore so similar and yet this post year brought us closer than ever and I am so grateful for that, Thora-aithough you have graduated, you still and will always be, such a big port of me and I know I con count on you and visa versa, Jeff-You ore so much more than a friend and I always wont you to be in my life, I also wont to acknowledge my other Dwight friends: Inbol, Shimrit, Moryze, John, Pardis, Kadia, JJ and Jax. Of course I cant forget my best friend, Eliono, You hove taught me so much and we hove had such a blast along the way! I couldn't have m ode it this for without you, I love you so much,To my parents- There hove been good times and bod and through it all you have shown me how unfailing your love and patience is.

Thank you for always believing in me and pushing me to try my best,I hove unlimited respect and love for you, I am looking forward to the next phase of my life in college, wherever that may be, I hope that my future has just as many impactful experiences os I have had in Dwight, Thank You,
