Easter Holidays School finishes at 2 pm this Friday, 30 th March for the Easter holiday. After School Club is available until 4.30 p.m. that day. We re-start at 8.55 a.m. (or from 7.45 a.m. for Breakfast Club) on Monday, 16 th April when the Year 5’s and 6’s will be leaving for (we hope) sunny Dorset. May I take this opportunity to wish you a very happy holiday. A few weeks ago, some of class 4 went to Newent School for an inter-school gala. We swam against Huntley, Redmarley and Hartpury. It was a difficult competition as all the schools there were VERY good! Nine people got into the finals, either as first place or fastest second. The year 6 boys’ freestyle relay came first in their race, so well done Adam, Bryn, Elliot and Josh Kell! The year 5 girls got through to the finals in the medley relay. Congratulations Chloe, Jess, Amelia & Hattie! And lastIy, I (Megan) got through in the year 6 girl butterfly individual. We do not know if we will be able to go to the finals as due to a clash with another final they have suggested alternative dates, but we cannot go to one of the dates because we are at PGL. Easter Fair!

Thank you if you helped at, or came to the Easter Fair. It seemed

Y3/4 Rugby Tournament

Players from Y3 & 4 (Finlay Rayner, Oliver Richardson, Ethan Adams,

Henry Larkins, Joél Carter, Jasmine Lowen, Alfie Oakey, Dannie Mann and

Anna Moody, Oscar Parr, Fred Houldey) recently took part in a rugby

tournament at Highnam School. Despite some serious opposition from Highnam & Hempsted A and B teams

we managed 2 wins out of 5 matches – an excellent result after only a limited

number of coaching sessions.

Swimming - Years one and two will start swimming lessons

after the Easter holidays.

Lunch Money

Please note that Edwards & Ward have increased the price of a school lunch to

£2.10 from 16th April.

for the children to start our book week. We took over £400 and around 35 books are now in the library as a result of this.

PARKING AT SCHOOL

Please could all drivers park only in the allocated bays. It is amazing to see cars blocking the line of sight

to the pedestrian crossing by parking in the coach bay when

there are plenty of spaces in the main car park. Please consider the

safety of all pupils.

PE Kits & DapsPlease could all

parents check that children have a PE T-Shirt, Shorts and Daps with them in school every day.

Could Class 1 parents please check

that their children have daps that fit

them for use after the Easter Holidays.

Football versus Redmarley!

On the 21st March here at Staunton and Corse we played against Redmarley. We put in an excellent performance and won the game 6-0. Everybody played their part, but Jack Blackwell deserves a

particular mention as he scored a hat-trick. Another fine performance from goalkeeper Elliot Finch again meant the team failed to concede any goals – Elliot

even managed to score, whilst in goal!
