Day 1 Dubai & embarkationCheck in at the Malta International Airport at 1245hrs for your Emirates flight to Dubai departing at 1455hrs with a brief stop in Larnaca. On arrival in Dubai at approx. 0125hrs (of day 2) you will be met by your driver near the luggage collection (not included) who will take you straight to Dubai cruise port for check in on board the Costa Fortuna.

Day 2 DubaiShip will stay in Dubai until 1300hrs. Dubai is a unique blend of the old and new. See its towering engineering achievements and landmark modern architecture. An 18th – century fort, historic districts of coral-stone homes and souks preserve Arab traditions and heritage.

Day 3 OmanToday’s port of call is Muscat. Ship will arrive at 0830 and will stay overnight. The capital of Oman is an intriguing mix of medieval heritage and modern architecture. Here you can stroll a labyrinth-like souk, visit Portuguese forts and see the sultan’s place. Sail aboard a classic dhow for unique views of Muscat.

Day 4 OmanYou’ll definitely want to check out Muscat’s two mountainside forts - Al Jalali and Al Mirani - said to have been used as prisons during the 16th century Portuguese occupation. These seemingly invincible buildings have been since converted into museums, which have drawn the likes of royalty, heads of state and other foreign dignitaries. And from their position atop a mountain ridge, you’ll be able to enjoy breath taking views of the harbour and the old city - so be sure to take your camera! Ship will leave Muscat at 1400hrs.

Day 5 KhasabToday’s port of call is Khasab. You will find this enchanting city on the Musandam coast off Oman, just to the northeast of Dubai. Discover the lasting mark Portuguese colonists left behind, and soak up the sun on the glittering shores of the Strait of Hormuz. Stroll through Khasab Castle, a fort the Omanis rebuilt over a 17th century Portuguese foundation. Its descriptive exhibits and fascinating history give insight into the strategic significance of the Musandam region in Oman.

Day 6 Abu DhabiShip will dock in Abu dhabi at 0900hrs and will give you a full day for you to enjoy. The discovery of oil transformed a fishing village into a thriving capital city. Modern Abu Dhabi features futuristic skyscrapers and luxury hotels

as well as heritage museums, spectacular mosques, and traditional bazaars. For a sense of Middle Eastern history, visit the Qasr al-Hosn (Al Hosn Palace) - the oldest stone building in the entire city of Abu Dhabi. Originally used as a watchtower protecting the city’s only freshwater well, the Qasr Al-Hosn was eventually converted into a palace. It remained the permanent residence of the region’s ruling family until 1966, when it was renovated and later opened to the public. The palace is commonly known as The White Fort, though its bright white appearance is only a recent development, part of renovations in the early and mid-1980s. Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates and the eighth largest mosque in the world.

Day 7 DubaiToday is your last full day on board the Costa Fortuna. You will arrive in Dubai at 0800hrs. For a sampling of some of Dubai’s greatest treasures, be sure to visit the coastal town of Jumeirah during your stay. Here you’ll find one of the world’s finest hotels - as indicated by its elusive seven-star rating, as well as the beautiful Jumeirah Mosque - one of the few mosques open to non-Muslims for tours. After a day of exploring, take in the breathtaking scenery over a bite to eat on the beach. For those that prefer some shopping you may explore the Mall of Emirates - a huge, elaborate shopping mall with over 200 shops, some theaters and restaurants. Maybe you’ve even decided to take a few runs down its indoor ski slope. Come afternoon, you can walk through a souk to buy spices from all over the Middle East, straight out of the sacks. By dinnertime, you may hit the jackpot at the Gold Souk, one of the world’s largest retail gold markets.

The Old Town of Graz is one of the most extensive historic city centres in the German-speaking worlds. You shall see the Hauptplatz, the Erzherzog Johann fountain, walk along the Herrengasse with its elegant shops and offices. The painted house was the residence of the arch dukes until the building of the Castle. You shall be at the Carillion square at 11.00am to watch the dancing figures in local costume. You shall also see the mausoleum and the main cathedral. After some free time for lunch, the coach will take you for a scenic drive along the Styrian vinery trail. This gives you an opportunity to discover traditional Austria, a tranquil unaltered world in the midst of outstanding beautiful, picturesque countryside dotted with traditional bars. You return to our hotel for dinner (optional) followed by the optional wonderful André Rieu concert. Enjoy the unique performances by André Rieu, the Johann Strauss Orchestra, choir and soloists. Saturday 21st May: Breakfast, and today we offer you an optional excursion to neighbouring Slovenia to the city of Maribor. Sunday 22nd May: Breakfast and checkout from hotel, you start your trip back home with a free transfer to Semriach where you can visit the famous Lurgrotte (entrance extra). The oldest depiction of Lurgrotte dates from the years between 1601 and 1605. The Lurgrotte is the largest active water cave in Austria. Actually the Lurgrotte was only discovered by a disaster. On the 29th April 1894, due to heavy rains, the level of water rose suddenly and seven cavers who were in the Lurgrotte were trapped for nine days in the cave. Only after an elaborated search on the intervention of Emperor Franz Joseph I, requiring more than 1000 workers, miners and divers, were the besieged rescued alive. In February 1905 members of the Styrian cave clubs section of the Austrian Tourist Club rediscovered a 1002 meters cave route. Today special guided tours can walk for around two kilometres from both sides of the Lurgrotte. You shall then continue your transfer to Vienna airport in time for your flight to Malta departing at 5.00pm.
